Yes, I agree with this too. I was raised a jehovahs witness, and this jehovah god was too scary for me. From the research I've done, I've concluded for myself, that he is not the true God. Man has been deceived as far as religion and dogma is concerned. I prefer to believe in a loving God.

I want to believe in a loving God too. The more I think about it the more I am forced to admit that the Jehovah god is something really wicked. When I look at some of the excuses that its supporters come up with to explain its cruelty, viciousness and bloodlust, the more convinced I have become that it is not what they say. They speak of its frustration and anger, like it was a man, not a god. The more mental machinations people must go through to excuse it and keep up the pretense, the less likely it is that it is actually the supreme creator.

I have read a number of commentaries that suggest that people all over the world are starting to come to the conclusion that the god of the old testament, from which the Christian god is derived, was actually a demon of some sort. The clues that have been suggested to me, aside from the violence, genocide and hatred that it has engendered, are its desire to have animals slaughtered and burned, because it liked to smell burning flesh. Now I do not know if this is true or not, but what I do know is true, are a couple lessons that Jesus taught. He tells us some things that are rather obvious when they have been pointed out to you. One is that "by its fruits shall you know it". If we look at the fruits of that god and we see peace, love happiness and gentility, then we know that that is what it really was. On the other hand, if we see violence, despair, bloodshed, hate and corruption, then we shall know that is what it really was.
