Or she could be the gentle kind, protecting and loving soul I imagine her to be. I took her offer the exact same way. WTF everyone talks about the good ole days when folks looked out for each other and when one makes a truly neighborly offer they are villified. Her offer took some guts and she does seem to have her wits about her...if I needed shelter I would certainly take her up on her offer and probably meet a great friend. |

Fuckin' A. Faith is your relationship with the creator. A persons desire to help the less fortunate or those in need is a branch of your faith, in the creator. That suggests it is right thing to do. No where does any faith say that you should not prepare for conflict. Yes I as a child of the creator want to help any that are in need. Does that mean I rely on the creator to protect me rather than guide me NO. Will I attempt to help any who I see in need Yes. Am I armed Yes. Do I want to use my arms against another human being NO. Will I if there is no other recourse OF COURSE. The relationship between fathe and our creator, simply does not clash with our desire to help people and at the same time protect ourselves and those that depend on us. |
