Just a thought.. but if a mass part of the american population were to die, wouldn't it be easier to dispose of the bodies without bags?
Quoting: valendian Smell, disease, public outrage at leaving bodies exposed, etc... Many reasons why they'd want some sort of disposal system, I think. Quoting: Earth Daughter The bags will only contain the smell for so long. Despite popular belief, even a fresh corpse stinks, and we all know it only gets worse as time goes on. I don't want to really poke my nose into this topic, but I just can't resist. I'm in the funeral industry, and deal with a lot of yucky, icky things on a daily basis. In the case of body bags, I'm wondering how much the contract is for, OP. I know that our bags cost a pretty penny, and that's just for private body removals and general body transportation. I've also encountered the "more flammable" and "accelerated" bags while doing a direct-to-cremation drop off. If they're spending god knows how much just to waste money, I'd rather see them spend the money on something useful, than expensive, and unnecessary bags.
