I never understood the dirty ice ball theory how could,say a mile wide ball of ice have enough material to vent off a tail bigger than the sun in some cases. The comet doesnt have enough material to make such a tail.
Since u know more about the elec comet than me. what if any effect will it have on our sun if any?

I won't be suprised if multiple fragments don't begin to shine brightly instead of just 1 comet now.Keep an eye out on www.spaceweather.com to watch for Solar conditions in space around the time Comet Elenin and its fragments will be making a pass.
