Thanks OP, this event if true answers a lot of questions. Most were led to believe that comet being so small and so far away from earth posed no threat at all. They also laughed at the idea that earth passing through its tail would pose any kind of danger. Yet this theory really is a game changer. Not the comet itself but the tail which will consist of the entire comet (in small pieces).
And that is where the danger lies.
