My parents always had bees (they didn't own the hives but let a guy put his hives in the pasture in exchange for a case of honey each year). Anyway, I've eaten a lot of honey in my life - I can't say that it's ever cured anything specific for me. But then again, if I hadn't eaten so much honey, I might be unhealthy today (which I'm not).

Supermarket honey has bare additives and shit in it. I drink honey/hot water/apple cider vinegar/ginger tea. It's great! Molasses too. All things are holy, but some lie closer to the center.

After a surgery last year, the wound wouldn't heal and close on one side, and was oozing a bit with a funky smell. The doctor didn't think it was a big deal and said to keep an eye on it, but I didn't think it was normal. I was a little nervous to do it, but I figured wth and slathered it with the honey and covered it with gauze. Within 2 days, the wound was closed and healed perfectly from there on out. I use honey now instead of any other ointments for wounds or sores of any sort. It really works.
