Explosives, would probably be required. plus they said it was severed from two places. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1541578 United States09/09/2011 02:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | power back in central san diego (north park area/mission valley area). didnt notice any weird shit before or after the power went out. one thing that was kinda odd though is i work as a navy civilian on a base out here and we have lost power before only to have our generators kick in and restore power for computers and lights ect. this time it did not happen. lots of people were worried at first thinking it was specifically targeted against us, but we soon found out is was wide spread. |

I have a bad feeling I don't know if this is related or not; But about 3-4 hours ago in N.E Arkansas - Something extremely strange happened to the power lines; My wife was outside and the lines were flopping around like something hit them. The power came on then off, on then off very rapidly; Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1370116 I ran and shut off the breaker; and then went outside and the lines were still moving as far down as I could see; they were making a zap zap zap sound over and over. After they stopped moving; I came in an turned the breaker back on and the power was out. About 20 minutes later we seen utility workers (Electric, Phone, and Cable) driving by and then several fire trucks. We got in the car and drove down in the direction they drove; and about 8 blocks away there were flames and smoke coming out of every transformer I could see from the point they were at onward. We still don't know what could have made our lines move like that....However, power was restored about an two hours later... |

Coronal Mass Ejections (CME's) take a few days. Neither had anything to do with this.
