I get around more than you ever have. I have been to over 35 countries around the world. And I know I have no way to prove that but you'll just have to take my word for it.

As far as Texas, I have been to Dallas - Ft. Worth, Houston, and Austin. I saw enough to know it looked like worthless land to me, either scrub grass and desert, or swamp.

You want to see a lush beautiful states, check out the Northwest, or the North East.

unfortunately I have always worked in texas..installed the whole 3 G at&t network in houston, starting in 2004...still do alot of work...I guess you guys do need some help...I still come back to take the texan money, I just ignore the assclowns....and let you guys think your better then everyone, while the mexicans are taking over the state...

Honestly, there is a reason to be scared imho. Any elected official that calls for prayer as an answer to weather (or any other issue for that matter) should not be trusted as an intelligent individual. While I think that religion has its place, that place is not in politics. If, for example, a Muslim were to say that everyone should get together and pray for rain (or anything else) in a state, they would be calling for his/her hanging. I think that the separation of church and state needs to be upheld. *That* is what makes Rick Perry a scary individual n my mind. By all means, please believe in some type of God, and even join a religious group, but keep it out of politics please, as not everyone believes in the same thing, and we are (supposedly) constitutionally protected from state religion.

I've been to 37 of the 50 states in the US, and I've enjoyed my visit in every single one of them.

LOL Dallas, Ft worth, Austin and epecially houston, are not the epitome of TEXAS. If that is the only places in Texas you have visited, you have not even dipped your big toe into the secrets of Texas.

Pick any landscape in the world, and you will find it, in Texas. Beaches, Mountains, Hills, Swamps, Plains, Deserts.

You have to get out of the big cities to find the true jewels of Texas..

Personally, I can't wait to get the heck out of hot ass Bible belt State. Been here too long!!

AND, I might add, I was treated very well, despite the fact that I'm OBVIOUSLY a Texan. Sound just like one - there's no mistaking it. Everyone was extremely nice. I think the "bashing" you hear is just from rude jerks. We have them in Texas too. Every state does (there are a few on this thread). People are people.

now that is the one thing good thing I can say about texans citys...the best highway and interstates in the country...even though it takes more then ten years on one project...but it is a good system...you guys paid for it...
