Quoting: Anonymous Coward 905924 Uh, yea....I've spent a lot of time in the Guadalupe Mountains and the Davis Mountains, plenty of time up and down the Texas coast, and as previously stated I've been to most of the states in the union...seen plenty...have loved them all. They each have great things to offer. florida, carolinas, and cali have beaches...texas has armpit of the gulf... mountains are in colorado, virginia, and NW...not texas, sorry... Yea, you said that. You're right, those places have those things, and they are lovely in those places. Texas has those things too. Sorry you don't like them. I do. Check a map. Your constant insistance that Texas doesn't have mountains or beaches is a bit silly. dirty scummy beaches of the gulf do not count, and as I said those are just large ego hills... the way you are saying, every state has a hill, that is a mountain...and every state has a lake with beaches...FAIL..... No, what I'm saying is when you look at a topographical map and you see words like Guadalupe MOUNTAINS, Corpus Christi BEACH, that's what it means....mountains and beaches. There's no ego to a mountain. It's a mountain. Some big, some small....still a mountain. Beach on a gulf, still a beach. I'd say Texas has a better beach than Arizona! No offense to Arizona, btw...I love Arizona. You are full of crap. |

Quoting: nitetrain But lets look at the state...Brawls and fights amongst your own people..you guys are drinking and posioning your brain and CNS....your state is being run and taking over by the Mexicans...Not that its a bad thing, in fact I respect most Mexicans more then Texans... Take a step back and look at yourselfs, and quit putting yourself on a high pedestal...and looking down on every outsider...probably because the mexican take over... texas people are asshats...of course this is not every texan in the whole state... but floridans are layed back, gentle people.. new yorkers will stick up for what is right.. southerns will welcome you into their home north westerns just mind their own business.. calis have been changing since they are over run with mexicans also, but they still hold their nose high... bostians are rude chicago are down to earth people.. and texans think they own the world, as stated above the mexicans run texas..lol..... and yes the whole western state is a desert..west of houston and dallas...i guess texas is to big , even for their own people..they dont know their state... |

Texans just giggle about the ignorance and hope people like you dont find out the truth. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1229039 United States 09/15/2011 12:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Try living in California. Apparently everyone here is a granola-eating, delusional, pro-big government, ultra-liberal. That seems to be the picture a lot of Americans have in their minds. Moderates and conservatives make up a good portion of our population, but everyone is painted with the same brush. I hear "can't wait for california to fall into the ocean" and "I can't wait for california's budget crisis to get worse, you deserve it...." all the time. The Democratic Party has done some good working on equality for all the citizens here, but have gone way over-board catering to illegal immigrants (non-citizens) and their supporters. The social program gravy-train has bled the state really badly, and there has been a general lack of fiscal responsibility, which is why California has slipped down-hill. But it is amazingly diverse, in topography and people. The mountains, forests, deserts and ocean are still unbelievable and amazing. I'm sure Texas, also large, has a wide range of environments, natural features and human view-points. The problem is, many people associate Texas with narrow-minded, intolerant blow-hards... and California with ultra liberal hippies. They are part of the picture, but they aren't the whole picture. |
