With those little decals showing a silhouette of Texas crossed by a red bar. With bumper stickers that read, "Texans go home." If Texans did go home, says former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm, "it would raise the IQ of both states." Since the CURRENT retard is from HAWAII, maybe you should STFU about Texas and bash Hawaii. And your fellow retards elected them, so maybe you should just bash your fellow-Americans. True .. I currently am back in Texas and this is my take on this state. If you talk to most people here, we aren't arrogant or prideful. People are loving and sincere and will help you out if you ever need it. The land in this state sucks. At least for most of it anyway. There are some cities and areas where there are real trees and green grass but this year it's hard to find. The sad thing about this whole 'Texas' issue is that people in this state are being 'stereotyped'. Its like saying everyone is like Obama because we are from the USA. You just can't put everyone in one category. The food here is absolutely delicious and we love to eat with our friends and family. We love people - period. I'm not personally fond of the whole 'cowboy' image, nor the whole 'horse and cattle' thing, and I DETEST smelling cow manure first thing in the morning when there is a good breeze! It's basically not about a certain 'state' of the USA. It's about people and everyone is different. There will be good people and bad people wherever you go in your travels around the USA and the world. Please don't bunch all Texans into one big bag and say we are one way or another. We are all human beings and we are individuals that deserve respect, no matter where we live. |

We've overbuilt, over-fished, polluted, then turn around and blame the federal government for not shelling huge tons of money (loaned from china) to save our asses when we should have been saving our own money instead of the continued bullshit stadiums, school/school board expansions/castle schools, and electing terrible "leaders". We should be bashing ourselves a shit-ton more than those "yankees" do. A typical vice of American politics is the avoidance of saying anything real on real issues. Theodore Roosevelt |

If that is the only places in Texas you have visited, you have not even dipped your big toe into the secrets of Texas. Quoting: Merci Pick any landscape in the world, and you will find it, in Texas. Beaches, Mountains, Hills, Swamps, Plains, Deserts. You have to get out of the big cities to find the true jewels of Texas.. This is very true, and well worth noting. +1000 However, even in these cities you find beauty - certainly not predominately scrub grass, desert and swamp. I agree! Many of the cities and towns I've visited are very nice. |

You all can go to Hell,I am going to Texas. My first time here, I cursed the ground I stood on ( basic training will do that to a man), my second time here, Texas welcomed me with open arms and gave me a home. I can proudly say that I have lived here longer than the home I grew up in. Even though my children were born in North Dakota, it is Texas that they call home. I am proud of my Texan and Tejano brothers and sisters, every one else can go to Hell. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1389593 United States 09/15/2011 03:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Because it’s the Lone Star State. Same for NYC “best city in the world,” jewish people the “Chosen People,” Fox News “Fair and balanced,” etc. When people make self proclamations of how great they are, they get attacked, because egotistical self proclamations make them look bad, not to mention they are really stupid for such things, because people only respect peer complements. Bragging is as unwise as you get. One thing the Rothschilds did learn was to hide their wealth, and not to brag, but when you do things like they do, you can only hide in the shadows so long before you’re routed out like a diseased rat. The self righteous shall be slaughtered, along with the meek. There’s a balance when it comes to surviving wars, you don’t want so much that you’re a target, and you can’t leave yourself completely unprotected. You also have to be wise enough to know when to ditch everything and run, because the most valuable thing in life is you body, everything else is replaceable. |
