I get my child immunized against anything they've got. I don't get kickbacks from the government to say this, but I do trust that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
A family member contracted genital warts, even with the use of a condom, so in my opinion, anything that could reduce my child's odds of contracting a disease is a good thing in my book. Not to mention with females there is an increased risk of some types of cervical cancer if they have or have had genital warts.
If she were to do something good for her health "behind my back," (prob couldn't happen, but who knows) I would still be proud that I raised a daughter who had her health in top priority.

Look the point is, whether you are for vaccines or not, parents should always have the say in what is done to their kids. My child cannot legally sign a contract at 12, if my child damages anothers property at the age of 12, I pay for that. So if my child is going to get vaccinated, I sure as hell better be the one deciding.

Honestly, I had all my vaccines growing up, plus the ones for Hepatitis B, my husband had all his, our daughter has had all hers. We have had no ill effects in our 30 years or in her almost 4. So maybe there are certain people who are affected by it and others who aren't.
I'd still take my chances any day at keeping her safe from known dangers with the minute risk of the unknown.

Exactly, thats YOUR choice.I just don't want the govt making the choice for me.

The choice on both sides should come down to the parent. I am not totally anti vaccinations, but when there is autism in the family, I should have every right to make the decisions what goes in my child's body and not be FORCED by law to do it. Having the nurse at the pediatrician's look at you like you are an evil parent is enough when I decline the flu shot!

its not her, it is the law that will give the child the right to choose with out parental consent, weather to take a STD vaccination, thus the right of the parent is transferred to the child.

You people yelling at concerned parents are ignorant. Havn't you ever turned on the T.V? Every other commercial is about a law firm talking about some medicine or vaccine, especially gaurdacile or gaurdasil or however it is spelled, that has killed the people whohave taken it. Maybe your just not parents yourselves, and don't understand the responsibility. Either way you should mind your own business and let adults make adult decisions for their children. I have real experience with vaccines and what they can do to a child, and if you want your child to end up another statistic thats your choice, but back off those of us who are awake to the damage these vaccines can cause.

CALIF is just effed up! You can exempt your child from vaccinations - just say NO! - and say why - speak up and advocate for your child
put a note in their school records demanding NO medical vaccinations are given to my child without my consent
put a drs orders with it

FInd a Dr that will write a note saying this child can not handle shots- they have severe reactions to certain meds - any form of medical treatment in the form of vaccinations must be directed and handled thru a physician in a hospital seeting only, just make up some bull shit

I could not disagree more. Study your history: Germany started kill the disable and the elderly first than they move to what they really wanted; the killing of the "inferior race". So, If a 12 year old can make his own decision about medical issues, the power to decide any issue is no longer with the Guardian, but the child.
