Twenty years old and runs like a dream, give it a polish occasionally, looks Mickey mouse. No complaints here. Some of those reports I was reading were heart wrenching, car can catch fire, from the metal grinding.. Scary as hell to lose your brakes on the highway, I was lucky, I stopped without hitting anything, but I read some of those reports of people that weren't If you have one of these cars, and MAZDA was right up there with lexus in complaints.. Your warning sign is sulfur smell, that's when it's hapening, and you don't have long before your brakes go... That's your brakes making that grinding soun, and when you get out and look (God willing) you'll notice they're black from losing all the fluid.. Not only are their cars dangerous now, the way they act when you report to the dealership w this problem is LIKE THEY NEVER SEEN THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.. IT'S INFURIATING! Especially if you've had the problem before, or you look online at how many other people have.. I do take care of my car thank you, and had just been to the mechanic before this happened for routine maintance, and EVERYTHING WAS LOOKING GREAT!! Their customer service is equally as great. Im not sure where you live but if you drive a Lexus and they dont help you maybe you need to file a corporate complaint. They treat you like loyalty here at the California Lexus dealerships. I recently purchased a car and told them it was missing a GPS holder. They immediately delivered one to my house free of charge. |

I owned a dodge neon that I bought brand new in 2002. The only thing that ever went out where headlamp bulbs and tail light bulbs. All replaced for less than 15 dollars. I had a few alignments and tire replacements as well as belts and fluid changes. But nothing that wasn't considered maintenance. The wife got 2003 Lexus RX300 and has had over 15,000 dollars in out of pocket repairs aside from maintenance. We sold it and bought a Cadillac 3 years ago and haven't had a single issue. |
