I propose that the ancients witnessed several recurring global cataclysms caused by some sort of strange fiery comet and they, through their primitive perception, thought they were witnessing God manifest. And if you think my theory is ridiculous you should research the parallelisms of this happening throughout the whole globe, you wouldn't see it as so ridiculous anymore, perhaps.... Sky Dude? Hardly?
