Why is Israel so Important?

Jerusalem is called "The City of The Great King". You may not understand this but around (who knows) 5,000 years ago, God YHWH, spoke to Abram, a man who was born in Ur, Iraq, and created the Hebrew people. All people on the earth (just like the aborigines today) had a general knowledge of a Creator God, but didn't really know anything about Him. God created an oracle people so that everybody could know about God's nature and personality by watching how He interacted with this set apart people. Hebrews, reduced to the "jewish people" (Judah, Benjamin, and Levites, or the southern kingdom),after the 10 Hebrew tribes of the norther kingdom (2 kingdoms created from the 1 after Solomon's death 1000 BC(?)) disappeared from sight having been dispersed by enemies during conquests.
There is much speculation that much of Europe into Britain and the US comprise of Hebrew peoples of these 10 lost tribes, but they don't know their heritage as it has been hidden even from them. They went somewhere and are legitimately sons of Jacob (Israel).

Now, Jerusalem has been at odds with Babylon (Lucifer's people) for many centuries and the final war will take place at the valley of Migedo, the battle of Armageddon. Jerusalem is the apple of God's eye. We can scoff and doubt and talk about myths, but the OP has the most valid question, that being what is important in that region. Nothing we would know about. The Bible differs with that opinion and as you can see Jerusalem is not going away but is a central focal point troubling many nations as we speak. Kind of interesting to me.
