Yep and they come in groups or clusters which mean there is a central point which they are coming from.

LD is Lunar Distance from earth. This will come between Earth and our Moon.

There was another thread saying if this doesn't dissentegrate it would be equal to a 12 megaton TNT explosion, or a medium size nuke...so it really depends WHAT THE SPACE ROCK IS MADE OF AND NOT THE SIZE.

It's got to weigh alot more than the UARS Satellite, and they were concerned about that hitting a polar ice cap !!

All the recent discoveries of meteors lately is kind of alarming.

yup, the composition and density of the asteroid is really important to make any kind of accurate prediction. if it even comes into our atmosphere, which is unlikely. we've had many more asteroid come in at closer LD than this

0.6 is still more than half the distance between us and the moon, that's really huge

The fact that this was just discovered yesterday and all the solar activity the past few days, I would keep an eye on this even with its forecast. Not a ELE but its poosible it could do some damage WITH SOME BIG IF's.

Tunguska Event was absolutely amazing at the effects it caused to the impacted areas....absolutely amazing..

If the same thing was to reoccur and land in an area where there is combustibles massed explosives and massed peoples it would be hideous...

It would wipe out an entire city or worse...it would be a Biblical Smitation..like a trillion ton hammer to the head...
