I was given zoloft by my doctor when I started bawling during a routine physical. I was unemployed, bitchy, and could hardly stand to go out in public, so finding a job seemed out of the quiestion. So i reluctantly took them. The first 2 weeks were hell. Crazy muscle cramps, crazy dreams, felt like I was having a heart attack every day. THEN..... I started to feel great, but too great. I too didn't really care about anything. But it did give me a chance to look at myself. I realized I have a problem with worrying to much about if everyone likes me, and could not bare to be caught making a mistake. Things I can and have to work on. I slowly went off the zoloft, then waited 2 weeks and started taking SAM-E from the health food store. I am doing well, not as well as with zoloft but I think I was just addicted to the feeling of carelessness. ? Anyway, if you enjoy reading try a book called the "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. If you like it, read the others as well. It's a holey crap look into how we are as a society and woke me up to a lot of my personal issues.Which I found is helping me learn how to deal with them. aND ONE LAST THING, THOSE NO FEAR STICKERS PEOPLE HAVE ON THEIR CARS, THEY AREN'T SAYING THEY ARE BILLY BAD A**, THEY ARE SAYING THAT FEAR IS NOT ONLY WHAT BREEDS STUPIDITY, BUT IT CAN AND WILL DESTROY YOU. Just sayin.... Stay strong and continue to ask questions, get facts not just answers, and try not to watch the news.

OP, unless you are legitimately suicidal, stop taking antidepressants immediately. They will long term effects on your brain. Being sad and feeling it is 100x better than not feeling anything.
