This rice is so good, it's the type of food you feel you could eat daily for the rest of your life if you hypothetically had no other options.... Sorry, don't have the recipe.... UPDATED DAILY its my recipe under puetro rican chicken and rice, or chicken and rice. My old neighbor taught me to make it yrs ago, its the orange rice with chicken in it, you can leave the chicken out if you want. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1139115 Canada 06/03/2012 10:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | --- boil up 2-3 cups any brown rice.--this will take about 45 min--you will use the rice at the end of recipe. --- while the rice is simmering; cut 2-4 carrots cut 1 onion any other veggies in the fridge --about a cup or two worth. open up 2-4 cans of beans--I use a variety of them. 1 cup of barbecue sauce a few dashes of steak sauce 1-2 cups of tomatoe sauce. 1 cup of salsa hot spice stuff of your choice --a few dashes of that. mix all this together --- take your mixture and pour it into a cassorol dish and put it in the oven at 300 or so. when the bell goes off for the rice. --its time to combine and do a final heat up. --- take your mix out of the oven--pour it back into original mixing bowl pour the rice into the bottom of now empty cassorol dish--onto this layer of rice pour the vegges/bean,s sauce and spice mix. ----- I usually have to put this into the oven , about 400 for 10 min., to heat up fully. grate cheese on top after it comes out of oven---or on each plated serving. quick healthy easy cheap. enjoy. |

I don't have a recipe for that but now I must have some. We have the Columbia Restaurant in Tampa. I usually stop by there if I want some, or if I cook at home, I use the dried beans in slow cooker. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |
