Re: MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Speaks To The Protestors....
Once this gains enough momentum - I'll bet one of their demands will be to "disarm the american population".
When that happens, then you will see where this is going !
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1439733

listen

this is all a setup going WAY back

they have already set the ground work to frame anyone who goes against these protestors as radical right wing terrorists and the protestors as the "good guys"

this is the end game in a long planned communist takeover of America

mark my words
 Quoting: ^TrInItY^

Ok, I just don't get it, I saw the Dylan Ratigan flick and he says we have to separate business and state. What the hell is wrong with that? I think that's a GREAT friggin idea. Why are you guys all against this? I've been on this site a long time now and I really didn't think you guys were like this.

I'm not out for a fight, not by a long shot, I just want to know your views. You say it's coming from "way back", and SHR pointed to reference that certain websites were started by communists and socialists, etc. Ok, I get that. But another poster pointed out that those websites weren't the originals sounding off point for these protests. They were basically people who liked the idea and "jumped on board".

I guess my basic question is this, do you guys think that the banks and the lobbyists buying our politicians is ok?

I remember someone, somewhere pointing to the fact that that the constitution says that individuals are allowed to donate to congressmen. And that now that they've layed out that corporations are "individuals", that now it is constitutional for corporations to make donations. But I don't really buy this idea at all.

And where it really gets muddy is this, what if they do make it so corporations can't contribute but individuals can. So what's to keep them from making a backroom deal that gives an employee of the corporation a bonus which is set up to be for a candidate.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2139160

I agree. I'm not nearing communism in anything Ratigan is saying there. The only reference to "rich people", if that is the basis for all the knee-jerking going on in this thread, was more like a get over it, it's been going on forever. His solution seems to be simple...don't let "their" money buy our system off.

I'll post the second video by the Greenwave guy that I took the time to listen to. I have to agree with that poster to. This guy is very wary of anything that will get out of hand and how that will cost us more of our civil liberties and freedom.

Well the video is being blocked but try to check out anyway. I'm not saying everyone shouldn't be vetted but reactionary thinking will cost you just as much freedom as anything else.

I know dude.

I'm pretty scared for my material stuff too.

I have a nice house on the water on Long island, cars, a nice boat, plenty of toyz...

I actually EARNED all that, I work, I produce safe Commercial jets and sign that it's safe. No scams here I worked for it and paid taxes through the nose.

If none of this was going on, I'd still be concerned, look at the world stage, I mean we all know the truth here about the various financial crisis, central banking, infinite debt placed upon the public etc...

It's out of control! I leaned about all that HERE.

I don't want to loose my stuff or my retirement funds etc...

So now we have protests, I think they will all go home when it gets cold LOL.

But next summer when things are way more F'ed up...

Deflation is next BTW.

My advice to everyone is buy canned hams, lots and lots and lots of canned veggies and beans and stuff. Really I tell all my friends that and of course gold and silver.

I want my MTV, er i mean USA!

The USA that was so wonderful when I was a kid.

Even if that was a dream and wasn't what it was, I want that dream to be REAL!

Thats what I was sold, thats what I bought, thats what I want and unfortunately what I want usually happens. AND I WANT! I very rarely ask for anything but I'm willing this.

I know, it's scary, with or without the protests and even potential BANK overthrow, it's scary.

Best Wishes

Oh ffs! Man up! This isn't about YOU! These people want to get the banks and the corporations to stop buying off our politicians. What is WRONG with that? They have no interest in you.

Stop obsessing about your "toyz" and look at what they are doing. If you spent half of the time listening, rather than worrying about your own "toyz" you'd be out there protesting with them.

Are you seriously ok with banks and corporations "buying" our politicians?

I want that American dream restored too!

The system is fucked, we all know it but the fix is going to suck real bad or worse we are going to try and fail and get fucked even worse.

Thats what people are scared of.

I know it's going to change :) but when and how I don't.

What is wrong about separating money from politics. Aren't people tired of the having the best government money can buy? Didn't watch the second video. Repeating everything was annoying.

I really am at a loss here to understand the terror and hatred I am hearing about these protesters. They are called commies, dirty hippies,Obamas henchmen, socialists, etc.etc. What they seem to want is monetary and political reform. They want 99% of the people to be the ones who elect Senators and Congressmen, and not the Super Rich 1% bankers, and Huge corps. What is so scary about that? Trinity, why are you almost hysterical on the subject? I don't get it.

I've heard this Chinese curse before, and we are living in interesting times. I think that the financial system will crash and burn with or without protesters. The protesters might be able to get some financial reforms passed thru the senate before the entire worlds stock markets are toast. Changes- so maybe when shit hits the fan, something will be in place to keep it from happening again. I DO NOT WANT THE MARKETS TO FAIL, I DO NOT WANT A VIOLENT REVOLUTION, BUT, I DO THINK THAT CHANGES ARE IN ORDER! The kind of banking system we have in the USA can't be allowed to keep doing BUSINESS AS USUAL!

On September 27th I posted a thread regarding a "strange" feeling I had about this movement.

Thread: Is this "World Wide Revolution" just a ruse to bring in the NWO?

I decided to sit back and give the group my moral support because I thought it was refreshing to see someone actually doing something besides complaining about the current state of affairs.

Now, I'm thinking that my "gut" feeling may have been 100% correct.

I think just as we have people who are very left, we have people that are very right. As someone who can relate to both sides, I can understand. There are many people who love our country & served our country who would consider the protests that are going on as wrong.

The people that are wanting change do not care for Obama either. I think for the most part many realize neither side is really for the people. Change is needed, but we can not just say we want change without clearly demonstrating what it is we want changed. That is why I believe Dylan showed up, because many have a idea of what needs to be changed; it is possible to accomplish; however, with both sides being so head strong in their views there is little chance of a truce/solution.

Being that it is his forum, I will respect his request.

I too would like to know why any thinking person has a problem with trying to do away with the private ownership of our government by the ubermoneyed interests? I makes no sense whatsoever.

Is it not pretty damned ridiculous that every elected representative must put in more time trying to raise money to retain their seats than they do on the people's business?

The time must come when public financing, equally distributed amongst the cadidates is the only funding allowed.

The common people have no chance against these bankers and corporations because money always has and always will equal power. Under the current system we,the people have none.

This kid at 24 has a right to be pissed. I just want him to add to his list the f**king unions that have completely lost their way and have mortgaged this kids future for their ever increasing pay, benefits and retirement. All this unfunded retirement should be converted to stock in the company they blackmailed for it and current workers required to give up 10 years worth of pay raises to pay for bringing the training and bringing in the young workers.

Why?

I consider myself very much relating to both sides as you do.

I see candidates who are either one side or the other, NEVER anywhere in between. WHY?

Is it because they won't get any money for their campaign if they sidetrack? I think so. It makes for weak minded "bought" individuals who don't say what needs to be said.

And DON'T do what's best for the American People!

Every father, grandfather, and great grandfather on both side of my family tree have fought in war after war for this country. They've served their time.

THIS protest..... has NOTHING to do with our men serving our country in the past.

This has to do with the banking system, and how corporations are buying our politicians, and how it just isn't right.
