Great post OP. I have seen exactly the same thing here in NSW. Ring the Civil Aviation Authority ... they are helpful, especially if you have pics.

Ring the Civil Aviation Authority. They are interested in seeing pics or video of this happening.

Maybe something wrong with landing gear and they were trying to fix it.

If they were spraying chems, you wouldn't see them.

It is a plane in a holding pattern. Coincidentally, the plane is making a persistent contrail.
The contrail persists because the air is ice-supersaturated and the contrail can't dissipate the way it will when the air is dryer.

ok let's say there was something wrong with the landing gear. why on earth would a commercial airliner be flying at low altitude 150km from the nearest airport? they only ever fly at 10000m over this area. also asked her neighbour, he's been there over 50 years and not once in his life has he ever seen a commercial plane flying low..

I am in central Illinois and saw a Qantas flying overhead from straight north heading south. Roughly 30k feet and spooty trails--off and on.

not sure if they're doing anything at that altitude. this one definitely had no passengers and was flying very low in circles over the entire area

Fuel dump before landing in emergency/pan - must land below Max Landing Weight.

OR

Simply con-trails in a holding pattern.
Water vapour condenses, freezes, white clouds.

Either contrails or perhaps fuel dumping... or...well...nvm.
Anyway, whilst the aircraft was waiting for a landing slot it had to circle and drew a lovely little pattern in the sky, enhanced by the power of light and shadow!

OP do not worry, if it keeps you up at night... seek help.

Come on guys..Sometimes there is no conspiracy. Qantas pilots come to Avalon Vic. (site of Oantas Heavy Maintenance) to fly test flights. They are in the skies doing all sorts of testing inc. fuel dumps and yes some exercises at low altitudes.I have first hand knowledge and I shared it. So easy on the BS.

in case you can't read this area is 150km from the nearest airport and planes are always at 10000m except for this one day. if it was fuel dumping it must have had 10 invisible fuel tanks, nice one baldrick

This explains the total change in upper management,right up to the CEO.
My guess is that the last lot refused to cooperate in this criminal activity,so,they were replaced with those who would.

lol @ in the area...

also states that there were 2 planes in that link with one circle and 1 line. the pics i posted were done by 1 plane and how many lines/circles are there? eyes open, brain tilt?

I hate to burst your DOOM Bubble, it was fun but your some wrong some nearly right.

We fly that pattern as its a restricted area for testing, it is water pumped into the engines which is used for extra thrust on hot days when the jet finds it hard to grab the hot dry air on a summer tarmac.

and yes I have dumped fuel for emergency landing into BKK when number 1 failed on rotate.


Kerosine is the fuel. its more common to see this in Europes conjested sky's it was always a talking point for grownd dwellers like you DOOMTARDS...LoL

BA has a service depot about 20 miles from me as the crow flies. What I think you might be seeing there is a recently serviced plane being tested.

do you have any Qantas service depots nearby? when i say nearby it could be a couple of hundred miles from you.
