My Gecko.
Ok, some might think i'm nuts, but here goes.

The last 4 weeks I have noticed that if I concentrate, I can stimulate sensations in my head that I haven't previously experienced. Its like a migraine, but nice :/.

Anyway, to the story.

I bought a Leopard Gecko (Sex uncertain) about 2 months ago.

He/she is a shy fellow and only comes out at night for a quick bite to eat and a dump before returning to one of 3 hides. He/she is quite 'scatty' and often returns to his hide upon noticing my movement.

Last night whilst laying in bed, for some reason, I closed my eyes and imagined the Gecko coming out of his hide. I was concentrating and the 'pleasant migraine' reared. At that moment, the Gecko popped his head out of the hide and stared at me. He was staring for a good few minutes before he exited the hide and walked to the front of his viv and just stared at me as if he was aware of my 'call'.

At that point I thought it merely coincidence, but thought, what the heck, lets try something else.

I then imagined him turning around and climbing atop of his big hide whilst inducing the 'pleasant migraine' I now associate with deep concentration. Again, almost instantaneously, the gecko turned around and proceeded toward his large hide.

I was astounded as he started to ascend his hide. Once atop, he just sat and stared at me.

At this point I will note that I haven't see him once climb atop that hide, or any others in his viv. He is a 'floor dweller'.

I then fell asleep. I awoke multiple times during the course of the night, and each time noted that my gecko was sat at the front of his viv, looking directly at me.

What was most surprising was to find that this morning as I woke, he was still sat there staring at me, even though the morning sun was pouring through my window (No curtains), and he hates the light (Being nocturnal).

Some may think i'm bonkers, but I genuinely believe I have tuned into something special within my(?) mind and somehow my thoughts were being received by my Gecko.

Nothing anyone says will change my mind on the situation, or what I felt last night, have felt previously, and continue to feel.

I just thought it would be nice to share.

Re: My Gecko.
Is it you who is playing with the geckos head, or is it the gecko who is playing with yours. He was staring at you after all.

I have five geckos, not Leopards obviously, being in Aus.

Here's one of my three knobbies, very near patternless.

I have a couple marbled velvet geckos as well.

All my other reptiles are bigger and meaner.

Definitely me. As each day goes by, my desire to find coincidence in everything diminishes. What I observed and felt was no coincidence. I would attribute it to the Gecko, but my 'symptoms' persist when i'm away from home. Something is having an effect on my perception, concentration and understanding.

Btw, your little gex is too cute. His eyes are huge.
