Why No Wasps This Summer?
My husband mentioned the lack of wasps this summer. Honestly I hadn't really noticed until he mentioned it. We normally have them building nests all summer long. There were none this summer. No nests, and I haven't seen any wasps.

I'm in SE Texas. Anyone else notice this?
Why is it that when someone tells you that there’s billions of stars in the universe, you believe them. But if they tell you there’s wet paint somewhere you have to touch it?

We have plenty down here. Bees as well. South Texas.

Re: Why No Wasps This Summer?
If you are talking about european wasps , their numbers can be significantly reduced if there has been alot of rain in late spring early summer . This floods the nests . But , I believe you have had fires , this is probably the reason no wasps or few , they have been burnt .

Re: Why No Wasps This Summer?
You guys are funny tonight!

Not too many fires in our area this summer, but enough in the rest of the state that I suppose it may have fried them!

Now if that would only work for the swarms of skeeters.

Haven't seen any skeeters in Texas the summer. Just wasps and some bees. I guess it's been too dry for them.
