Obama's stepfather was Lolo Soetero, an Indonesian. He was legally married to Ann Dunham, Obama's biological mother. The Indonesian nationality law says that all children whose male parent is an Indonesian automatically become Indonesian citizens.

This means that Obama may have never lost his Indonesian citizenship and still have it today.
