Re: The Robin Hood Tax: Occupy Movement now Marching Straight Off the Globalist Cliff
Just what will they do when the "rich" like Bono and Dah Boys & Girls are no longer rich and are just as poor as they are?

Much of the problem with those in the occupy whatever movement is that they turn their noses up at whatever jobs are available or they spent a hundred thousand dollars on some glamor degree that qualifies them to do not much of anything and demand a big starting salary while they do it.

The ones screaming about their student loans are not the medical and nursing school kids....they are the ones that just had to go out of state and/or to an expensive private school and just kept taking out loans.

How many of the skipped spring break trips and lazy summers?

How many of the rest of them just dropped out of HS because it was "too hard" or they were too drugged up to even know where the school was? How may of them are using the protests as a way to cut out of school or work now?

Times are tough right now. My depression era parents would be appalled at things have changed compared to the soup kitchens of their day and people taking whatever job was around. My grandfather used to say if the only job is digging ditches, then you dig ditches.

Plenty of illegals still have jobs...doing lawn work and cleaning toilets and working in kitchens and working in the fields picking crops. All the jobs that no one in the protesting crowd would ever do.

Instead, they demand the money of everyone else, many of whom started out in life doing those kinds of jobs.

Forbes: Occupy Wall Street's 'Robin Hood Tax' A Tough Sell At G20
[link to www.forbes.com]
The 99 percenters at Occupy Wall Street are hoping their European counterparts can pressure G20 leaders this weekend into adopting what they call a Robin Hood tax on financial transactions. But it faces some hefty opposition.

The Robin Hood tax, sort of like a Tobin tax, was proposed by Germany as a means to raise revenue for countries hit hard by the 2008 housing and credit markets crash. Yet, the estimated 1% transaction tax would have to be global in nature for it to work, and countries as diverse as the UK and Russia are against it.

The tax is being proposed for members of the EU only, but there is a push to make it global.

This week, Russia’s assistant to the president, Arkady Dvorkovich, said taxes were for individual countries to decide, not international institutions. “We don’t need taxes on transactions and banks,” he said in a radio interview on the Voice of Russia. “We have other (revenue) opportunities like high taxes on oil and gas sector and some raw material producers. This is enough. If other parties want to impose transaction taxes let them do it.”

Robin Hood stole from corrupt government officials and returned the money to the shopkeepers. These OWS idiots want to take the money from the shopkeepers for use by the government.

The middle-class or struggling shopkeepers are PART of the 99 percent. The occupy movement is aimed at the banks. The corporate media smears the real message.

And.. Just what IS the Message?

As a business owner, my business hit the skids when Obama came into office. It is just now trying to recover. I am NOT in the "whatever" percent that is picketing at Wall Street or anywhere else.

They are spoiled, brain-washed, children with no clue as to what they are doing except acting like a pack of animals having sex and defecating in public like the same. Not to mention stupid signs, slogans, and tantrums.

They are useful Idiots exploited by the Communists and Socialists and TPTB.

Baa Baa SHEEPLE. Go home. Your Mommie is calling you.

Leave the fight to real Americans who know the enemy is in DC. Not Wall Street.

The way to fix this is not by sleeping out rough until people listen, that is called being homeless, which many of the people in OWS are or soon will be.

What needs to be done is that every adult should receive one million each which makes 7 billion roughly, and those who have families shoudl get one million in an inheritance gift form the governments, per shild which can only be accessed once the child turns 18.

Now is that really so hard to do? would it not respotre the global economy and also revive sales in the countries?

If this cannot be done, then we will be forever in debt and generations of children will become slaves to the oldies that there are more of in the worldy right now.

If this cant be done then just give me a million to live out the rest of my life in relative comfort.

The Robin Hood tax has been supported by some 350 economists in a letter written to the G20, including Joseph Stiglitz and Jeffery Sachs. Politicians supporting the tax include Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy and Katsuya Okada, Japan's foreign minister. According to a press release by the lobbying organization, support has been forthcoming from the financial sector by prominent figures including George Soros, Warren Buffett and Lord Turner, chairman of the UK’s Financial Services Authority.

Their trying to whip up class warfare. This would have worked about 5 years ago before people had a chance to educate themselves on the true creator of this chaos, the Federal Reserve Bank, and the Bankers of the world.

Now no one is blaming capitalism as planned. People understand that bailouts, and fascism are not capitalism.

The finger is getting pointed more, and more at the FED, and that's not what they wanted.

Everything they are doing is now backfiring. Much like the libertarians going out to the occupy movements and educating the folks.

They wanted us begging for larger government with more control, and that's not working out so well.

To all you American's out there...in the global scheme of things...take a wild guess who the rich are? That’s right, YOU!

We already know what a fair and bang up job government does in the form of taxation. Just look around. What ISN'T taxed? If we surrender our sovereignty and go with this scheme it will become a slippery slope where our money will be then taken and redistributed all over the world...in Global banker’s pockets.

Good job America (if you idiots actually go along with this)! Thanks for screwing my kids!!

Broke ass people sick of the austerity measures. Sick that our strongest sector is "security" Sick of a bunch of wars.
tired of being broke and being ruled by a system which has them watching undeserving people prosper exponentially directly from the suffering of own their neighbors and family.

They will inevitably become a stronger political party than the republicrats. If nothing else the unifying of this many people will form economic and political alliances.
