***Stereo A COR2 Captured this image of an object today! Calling all solar junkies and researchers.***
This was in another thread, however the title of the thread has caused it to go overlooked by many.

I am creating a new thread and calling for any and all with knowledge and research capability to come together and see if we can figure this out.

Whatever it is, it's not normal, it's MASSIVE and it needs to be looked into further.

1. Is it headed our way?
2. Is it a known object?
3. If it is headed our way, what's the closest prox it will get to us and when.

Here is the image.
Stereo A 2011102

Got to this site [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov]
put in 20111027 for both date ranges
choose 512x512 and slideshow
choose Stereo Ahead COR2
then search

It's image 58, which is 2011-10-27 16:39:24

This is serious, we have something with solid evidence to back it. We just need to know the above.

Remember, it has already been stated multiple times via our GOV that the public would only know of something 24 hours prior to impact.

+1 5*, suggested pin... that is very odd. That almost looks like a CME has launched then is being backlit or something from another Flare on the Sun?

Another camera being rolled for calibration?

It has to be a camera anomoly because the direction the tail of the flare is pointing does not make sense. If it were real, it would be pointing directly away from the sun in the flow of the solar wind.

Looks cool though.

I am going through all the possible solar resources I know of on the net trying to find another angle or image.

I always wonder about the distance of these anomalous objects around the sun. Is it possible that is a much smaller object flying close to stereo a/b giving the appearance of something much larger?

From the photo it looks like the object is moving from right to left into the frame.

Lots of people would rather that this image is not seen by the unwashed. Funny how Nasa has image drop outs at critical times, especially these past few weeks. Glad this one got through.

That's the point if you read the OP. It's not a flare but an independent object that was captured on solar monitoring equipment.

The edges are too sharp, it's the sun reflection off a wing of the unit. The sun and the anomoly are millions of miles away or else like I said, the solar wind would be trailing away from it.

If it was something in motion, any tail would still be flowing in the direction away from the sun.

Look at the sun flare on the lower right hand of the sun. It appears to be identical to the top half of the flare only the so called anomally is a larger image of it
