Are you concerned that a house built in a week with fall apart?

Actually, I believe we all have a cynic in us and I'm sure a lot do not get recognized who help but I have to believe it is helping people who need it and can help others.

Does anyone know how to submit for that show? I work for a 100+ old retirement community that sure could use some "volunteers".

The show came out to a nearby community here in Arkansas a few years back. I know a guy who worked on the house and he said the work schedule was insane. He slept in his job trailer onsite a few hours a night until the job was completed.

From what you describe OP the show is kind of a scam. The show spends nothing on the construction? It's all donated? Then they won't even give your company credit for helping to sustain THEIR show unless you pay them extra? That's called a scam isn't it?

My mother is a very special women and worked hard all her life she was in the airfoce when I was a baby and what she did for all life is make shore that I had a roof over my head. As long as I can remember we been struggling all our liveitwas a baby and it[liveleak]'s bee iand I wish that this lady would gracen ard for my mom and I hope the struggling would stop and it hasn't she keeps on fighting and never stops now she's been asking the good lord to help her many years and been praying for this women that owns this old broken down sack if she would sell it to her and also asked her if she would let her fix it up I just wish my mom would have a place that she can really call home. The love my mom shows on the day to day base is over whelming and she fights so hard to keep a roof over her head sents my baby was little boy and they were homeless. Now that he's all grown up she still fighting to keep her home can you please help my mom that's 67 keep hope a live.

they built one of these FREE Homes for the TV Show... for a BLIND MAN who was shot during a robbery at Radio Shack.. only problem.. they build the home that was WELL OVER the community... sort of like a Million dollar home among homes that were under $100,000 at the time. It looks out of place.

I wondered HOW that family would be able to afford the ELECTIC for the added square foot and the pool bill.

The up-keep is a lot on these home.

QUESTION: DO they help the family with the PROERTY TAXES and Electric / Water bills of the future.. that can be EXPENSIVE for these people who have nothing.

The show did one in Kemah, Texas some yrs ago. They had to sell recently because they couldn't afford the increase in taxes and electric bills due to the gigantic house that was built.

speaking of stuff like this, has anyone here known anyone or lived in an area where they've shot Restaurant Impossible shows for Food Network? For those not familiar the premise is, world renowned chef and personality Robert Irvine goes from city to city trying to save restaurants that are failing for one reason or another, changing their menu, the design of their place, etc etc, all in the span of a couple days and on a very limited budget. I'd be quite curious now how legit the work they do is seeing this. It looks pretty legit on TV but just the same.....anyone have any stories?

I cant stand the "personalities" on this show. Therefore I cannot watch it anymore.

It seems it keeps getting repeated that they do nothing but photo-ops but no real work. Half the show shows each "personality" working on a specific room for one of the family members, where they personally create the design.

Then Ty's is built up to be some super secret amazing design that's the most important thing ever created by man.

Are you saying this is all BS, and that none of them actually participate at all in any of the room designs?

These homes are in the 100's of thousands when it is all over.
