Well, let me give you some food for thought . . .

What we have here is a "domain mismatch." It's as if we are using tools appropriate to rational numbers to manipulate irrational numbers. For example, "What's the least common denominator of the square root of two?" The question itself doesn't make sense because of the domain mismatch.

The scientific method (simplified) is one of observation of repeatable events, drawing conclusions from those observations, and trying to make predictive models based on those conclusions.

The key thing about the scientific method is that it needs repeatable events. So, for example, we can't use the scientific method to examine "why" Caesar crossed the Rubicon or "why" 9/11 happened, as these events are singular occurances and not repeatable.

The resurrection of Jesus is a one-time event like my historical examples, so scientific inquiry isn't applicable here. All it would say is that "the dead have never been observed to come back to life," and while that statement would be factual, it doesn't provide any information for a one-time event like the resurrection of Jesus.

Now, in the future, when a great number of people are resurrected, the scientific method can be applied, but not now.

So what this comes down to is "epistemology" - basically how do we "know" the things we "know about." (That's where the Philosophy classes come in.)

There are some people who "know" that the resurrection of Jesus did indeed happen, and they look forward to the time that they, too, will be transformed the same way Jesus was transformed. That "knowing" cannot be proven right or wrong by scientific method (as explained above), only by the experience of the person who "knows."

Of course, most people I would guess don't "know" this. For them, they have to investigate the "knowing" of others. That is one of the purposes of Scripture: to record the experiences that people have had with God. Jesus' 12 closest followers for examples were utterly transformed by their "knowing" from timid, scared men and women into people who would willingly give their lives for the message that OP and others post at GLP. Even those who disagree about what really happened on the cross, it is evident that something profoundly life changing happened.

All the words in the world will not give you the kind of knowledge of "knowing" that I'm talking about. The only way to find that "knowing" is to follow Jesus for awhile and see what happens.

A REAL believer does not GO to church..does not NEED books and tapes and seminars and other assorted money making devices..a REAL christian does NOT need the bible either.

I know there are SOME who actually practice love and are not head cases with their brains and hearts turned to stone from years of satanic indoctrination.

But I spent decades in several different churches..always searching..

And in all that time ONLY ONCE did I find a small church that LOVED..and was not bound up in words and doctrines and hate dressed up as love.

THEY LOVED..they HELPED..they CARED..and they practiced what they preached.

The rest were all just satanic fake immitations... full of self rightous pricks..MUCH like the one this thread was about...they treated me and everyone the same way..with hate..condescension..evil judgment..and threw anyone away who did not bow to their way of thinking..or who..DARED to ask any questions.

The churches have enough money in their vaults to feed the world. Now if Jesus said feed the poor why would "they" feed in drips and drabs.

But then MR money came along..and the church died...and I have never seen another one like it since..as merchandising..books..seminars..and other assorted satanic BULLSHIT now infests all the churches..

Because the young pastor who was the greatest influence of that church..who was genuinly full of love and compassion for PEOPLE..not DOCTRINEN and WORDS..was coming to the end of his appointed time there. He was only young..about 23..and completing his "Work experience" as it were before being promoted to a larger church in sydney.

The head office in Sydney left the church with NO CHOICE but to accept the NEW pastor..with the NEW teachings of money and wealth and greed which has now infested every church in the world.

The members of the congregation left..one after another..as the greedy selfish ones took over..now that church no longer exists..destroyed effectivly by the satanists..the infiltrators..the ones who run the head office in Sydney.

They see any church actually SHOWING love and REAL compassion for people..they move in fast to turn it itnto just another greedy seeker sensetive pile of satanic SHIT like they have done to all the other mainline churches.

Walk into any church now..its all merchandise..greed..self..doctrine..and self rightousness..and NO LOVE!
