Second, why should the fine amount be related to the number of passengers. Third, this was due to a snow storm, and was not intentional. Fourth, what is the recommended procedure for extracting passengers from a stalled plane in a snow storm. Lastly, if the government gets one dime from this, we should demand that they return the money to Jet Blue. And $27,000 per customer? LoL Who the hell are these people? Was the plane full of Rothschild's? |

The passengers don't pay, the airline does. but instead of the airline compensating the passengers, they will pay that huge fine to the GOVERNMENT. Who(the governement) did NOT have to sit on this plane, stranded, for 7 hours with no water or toilet nevermind food. Also, it was not just due to a snow storm. The plane own offices just shut up shop and left the plane sitting there to rot. Last Edited by MommaBear on 11/01/2011 09:34 AM For a Fuckin book..Its NOT a FUCKING book! It's a weapon. A weapon aimed right at the heart's and minds of the weak and the desperate. It will give us control of them. If we want to rule we have to have it. People will come from all over, do exactly what I tell them..if the words are from ...the book. (Book of Eli) |

I fully agree that Jet-Blue did not act quickly to protect the passengers bill of rights. I am saying it is an excessive amount to pay the government for a fine, under this circumstance. Also, I do not agree with the floating fine amount based on the number of passengers.. The fine should be flat, and the passengers should be the beneficiaries, not the government. The passengers should be compensated based on the amount of time they spent on the aircraft. Obviously, the passengers can and will sue Jet-Blue. It was an unfortunate event, but fines like these will only be reflected in ticket price, making the victims pay for it in the end. Perhaps, I am mistaken, but I feel that the solution (fines) will create a larger problem. |
