No one has an opinion?

Seems to me if our local news can not broadcast to us when the EAS system is in operation that it is prohibiting our freedom of the press.

Can't help thinking that if this system is used to take over all tv & radio, then we are in essence prisoners to whoever takes over this system at any point in our future.

How is this constitutional?

So you do not see anything wrong with all tv & radio stations being taken over by a single entity (gov't) and how that could be unconstitutional?

What if they were to take it over for a week a month, would you question it then?

Exactly my point. How are we to be assured that this EAS system does not fall into the hands of a supressive regime that uses it to suppress our free speech and press?

How are we then to know what is actually happening in various parts of the country?

We really need to question this...IMO

There is a constitutional right to a free press.
 Quoting: _2 swords_

Which means you are completely at liberty to buy a printing press, print your news letter, and distribute it door to door.

The Constitution doesn't mention broadcasting though.

Only because there was no broadcasting when the constitution was written.

It was clear that the freedom of the press was protected whether in print or through the airwaves.

Prohibiting the flow of information from other sources is unconstitutional.

OP, people are lol'ing because your question isn't even worth addressing.

Of course it is. Everything they do now is unconstitutional.

Lol, sorry.

Obviously it is not Constitutional. But, Barry wipes his ass with the Constitution. This is just another attack on our rights as Americans.

So since it is so obviously unconstitutional, then why isn't anyone in congress opposing it?

Why isn't anyone doing anything about all of the unconstitutional things being done? What are these people (that are paid by the people's taxes) doing to protect us from these attacks on our freedom?

Are they about to trash the Constitution altogether? It sures looks like it to me.

Hey, just wanted you to know I left you some karma just now and forgot to sign my name. LOL. Anyway, it's nice to have Christian friends on GLP. When you sent me a message earlier, the reason I didn't respond was b/c I don't have an upgraded accout. But anyway, God blsss you.
