(OP) User ID: 1608844 United States 11/09/2011 03:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can't help thinking that if this system is used to take over all tv & radio, then we are in essence prisoners to whoever takes over this system at any point in our future. Quoting: _2 swords_ How is this constitutional? you think there's a constitutional right to TV and radio? wow There is a constitutional right to a free press. |

What if they were to take it over for a week a month, would you question it then? the right to free speech might be suspended during a national emergency. |

How are we to be assured that this EAS system does not fall into the hands of a supressive regime that uses it to suppress our free speech and press? How are we then to know what is actually happening in various parts of the country? We really need to question this...IMO |

The Constitution doesn't mention broadcasting though. Reaching for the sky makes you taller. Hi! My name is Halcyon Dayz and I'm addicted to morans. |

The Constitution doesn't mention broadcasting though. Only because there was no broadcasting when the constitution was written. It was clear that the freedom of the press was protected whether in print or through the airwaves. Prohibiting the flow of information from other sources is unconstitutional. |

This is just another attack on our rights as Americans. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe |

Why isn't anyone doing anything about all of the unconstitutional things being done? What are these people (that are paid by the people's taxes) doing to protect us from these attacks on our freedom? Are they about to trash the Constitution altogether? It sures looks like it to me. |

Anyway, it's nice to have Christian friends on GLP. When you sent me a message earlier, the reason I didn't respond was b/c I don't have an upgraded accout. But anyway, God blsss you. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Matthew 22: 37-39 "What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?
