*Soldiers/police with auto. weapons.

Yep. It would be interesting to see how many of these things are being ordered by the DHS. I could just imagine that these things will be on every corner if martial law were declared.

I was visiting my mother in Naples Fl. I saw one of these being used there. I wasn't sure what it was. I asked my mother and she wasn't sure either she said just one day it was there and it had never left. They have guards in them and she wasn't sure what it was being used for. It was near a dog park that is visited by alot of senior citizens such as my mother with her dog. So i found it a little perplexing it wasn't in an area of high crime or an area that i felt would need crowd control. I also asked a few of her neighbors about and again no one seemed to know exactly what it was for. Nor did they seem to be bothered by it. But it bothered me and something is not right about it. Now they are cropping up everywhere. Where do we live? This is just as bad as cameras on every street corner and street light post. It's scary just what are they watching for?

Yeah right hey are going to use much of anything like that in the middle of a riot while people push it over. This is not police state, this is police realizing it's easier to watch a parking lot from the high ground. tell me, you call it a police state if they were sitting in a deer stand?

Do you think rioters care if they are breaking the law? They are rioting, they don't care. There is no doubt that police could have guns in that tower, but how is that any different than snipers sitting on the roof tops or a hunter in tree stand. Give me a fucking break, get your head out of the "they all are after us" clouds. It's technology, it makes sense, they use it.

I bet you think roadside radar signs could have sentry turrets mounted on them too....

People won't stand for this. if these towers become armed.

I might agree with you if it wasn't the Fed behind it. What interest should the federal government have in your store parking lot? Now, if it was the local police or the walmart security team behind it, that would be different. But the fed????

Feels like a trial run for something bigger coming down the pipeline.

Hiding has nothing to do with it. From my perspective,...it is a little thing called personal Freedom.

You simply do not understand because you are most likely afraid of your own shadow.

For one, my room is private, thus, I have an expectation of privacy in my home. Out in a public parking lot, there is no expectation of privacy, since its a public parking lot. Big difference between the two.
