** NEW LIVE WEBCAM VOLCANO EL HIERRO***

The Council of El Hierro and Telefonica-Movistar has launched a service Friday webcam, installed in the south and north of the island to monitor the volcano's eruptive process. These webcam are already in service and allow real time tracking, 24 hours a day, the evolution of the volcanic phenomenon for a month takes place in La Restinga.

Telefónica was making the necessary tests in recent days to ensure the bandwidth needed to stabilize the signal, due to the great interest aroused by the eruptive phenomena of the sea of calm throughout the world.

The implementation of this project due to requests made to the insular institution by individuals and companies, and encouragement that seeks to give the City Council of El Hierro to the spread of this phenomenon, scientific and tourist interest.

Moreover, this Friday there have been several meetings of the Scientific Committee and the Steering Committee on the Emergency Coordination Center of El Hierro in Valverde to monitor the eruption process and its impact on civil protection.
