The whole thing looks far to polished to be one guy. Slick webpage, Twitter, FB, video with dramatic music and good editing for an amatuer.

It has the scent of some kind of marketing campaign, perhaps some kind of book or product aimed at the conspiracy/alternative history movement.

Also, why would he ask for 5 million from regular people?

If he was blackmailing a government (u.s., egypt, etc.) it might make since for the 5 mil.

Definitely interesting. Could just be viral marketing thing, but if I had to speculate, I'd say the video of interest is probably the one taken by the truck. It seems obvious, but on the facebook and youtube, people are saying how his posted video has nothing, but that's because only a snippet of the vid from the rc truck was shown and the rest was just contextual buildup. So, apparently he found out something inside a pyramid, but I don't know much about those to guess what it might have been. Only thing that comes to mind lately is this:
