Aldi's $1.99 a gallon milk does not have hormones
[says it doesn't on the label] and last I saw
it was bought to the local Dallas Aldi store in
a Borden's milk truck.

I like the Little Debbie walnut covered brownies.
They went from $1.59 to $1.79. The Little Debbie
cupcakes are to die for... but they have always
been expensive at $3 a box.

My pot is getting cheaper and cheaper...from $60 for an 1/8th down to $45.

WTF are you talking about?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5028399

Pot is not a requirement for life...to live and exist.

As things get worse, non-essentials will get cheaper as people stop buying them and only buy what they MUST HAVE to live....not what they WANT.

Therefore...non-essential prices will decrease...essentials will increase.
 Quoting: Burt Gummer

When you have discs in your back like mine, pot is an absolute REQUIREMENT.

Trade you my pain and pot for your health any day buddy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5028399

You still proved my point....for YOU...it is a MUST HAVE.
For others...it is not an ESSENTIAL.
 Quoting: Burt Gummer

If being right is what you want, go and get it.

Aldis was better before they started advertising then their prices went up, I saw them start to advertise on Oprah and their prices went up.

It's so annoying to think so much of the price of goods is advertising money they pay to these ad companies.

Candy Bars went up to .69 cents a few years ago, and I thought that was high, then they went up to .99 cents, now they are 1.19, a 50 cent jump in a year or two.

It's weird how the illuminati price everything 6.99, or 9.99, or .69 cents.

I went into World Imports and I'd say 90% of the items has '999' in the pricetag, or rather '666', if you look at them upside down.

I await your stupid grunting disapproval of this post, ye soulless dumbfucks of perdition.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5560756

It's particularly annoying in Australia because our smallest coint is 5cents. Therefore 9.99 does not even exist here. Any yet they still charge 9.99!

A gallon of Milk at the Aldi's in Burleson is 99 cents.
Eggs are 39 cents a dozen and sugar is $1.19 for 4 lbs.
I'm sure that won't last much longer but it's been that way for 6 months. The Aldi's my dad shops at in N. Richland Hills has Milk at the price you quoted.

Re: want proof of inflation????? Pick up a granola bar.
From California

Minimum for gallon of milk at Safeway: $4.20+

But the cost of packaged bread flummoxed!

Averaging $4 to $5 +

I like to get the fresh french bread there but although it is about $2
it stales fast although it is tasty

Cheese and milk are going up...
I only buy food that is regular..not cereals (way too expensive now)
Even hot dogs are high but provide dinner at least 5 meals.
I buy Trader Joes for produce, milk, eggs, dried stuff like rice.

I space out my meat eating to 3 times per week.

California is going to impose even MORE taxes, this time on 'services';
they already tax the minimum wage earning waitresses on their tips but
I guess they want taxes on everything from barbers and hairdressers to nail folks to window washers to maids to babysitters...no stone unturned to milk the masses of their last dime. Lets audit where the money is going...it soon will be cheaper to attend a private college than a public on in California..
the only answer is the decline in the value of the dollar.

Buy from farmers...trade services and goods.

Re: want proof of inflation????? Pick up a granola bar.
lots of products have been downsized but are still priced at the same level or even higher.

look at how small the average sized carton of ice cream has become over the past many yrs. a few days ago I noticed a lower cost brand of chips is now being packaged in smaller bags.

Re: want proof of inflation????? Pick up a granola bar.
people don't understand what inflation is.

Inflation is when central banks create money out of thin air.

It's like a stock split exept we dont get 2 for 1 we just keep our 1.

Consumer retail prices don't reflect it immediately, it takes time but oh, they will.

Take oil for example, oil didn't go up, the dollar went down. Same with Gold.

Best Wishes

There is monetary and economic inflation.

Economic inflation is what most people understand well enough when a loaf of bread becomes 10 bucks.

All morons hate it when you call them a moron.

People always think something's all true.

It's funny. All you have to do is say something nobody understands and they'll do practically anything you want them to.

4 large apples at kroger (like safeway) totaled just under 13.00. there is something very wrong and evil about charging 13.00 for apples. not to mention something very ignorant about me actually paying that haha. i think i was in shock and blindly went through the motions.

The vendors are trying to get trickier too. They are making the toilet paper and paper towel rolls look like they are the same size as what you are use to getting, however, they are making the cardboard roll in the middle bigger so you are actually getting a lot less paper. DARN THEM!!

I work in a bakery, they reduced a package of cookies from 12 to 8 and only slightly lowered the price, but obviously less value overall.

And some people want to lower the minimum wage?

Simply incredible.

And they're filling friggin' chocolate bars with air bubbles and marketing it as an improvement. Pathetic! That would be like whipping butter to 3 times it's normal volume then selling it at the same price.
I only believe half of what I read and even half of that is bullshit.
