U.S. officials said on Monday they had seized 150 website domain names they said were being used to sell counterfeit goods, including football and hockey jerseys, fake designer boots, and handbags.

shouldnt we be used to this already? i think we have been kinda spoiled with the internet. its not like i can go open up a real shop by walmart that sells fake shit and bootleg movies. it was only a matter of time before they got the internet under control to match what happens out in the real world.

After the feds suspected them, they placed an order "undercover". After they received the goods, they forwarded them to the actual producer to determine their legitimacy. If the goods were found to be illegal or counterfeit, they got a seizure order from a federal magistrate, in accordance with all laws. No civil rights were violated here. In addition, the owners of the seized domains may file an appeal and have their case heard.

Funny how well they do policing things that might take money out of the pockets of the big Corporations but yet they can't police those big Corporations or Wall street. We have to live by the laws while the Corporations can ignore the very laws they demand that we to follow.
