"Portland airport baggage claim area closed due to suspicious package

The Portland International Airport's baggage claim area and lower roadway are closed due to a suspicious package.

A Port of Portland spokesman says the package was found in the baggage claim area at 10:40 a.m.

The north end of the baggage claim is shut down and blocked off, so all baggage must be retrieved from the south end carousels.

All PDX visitors who are picking up travelers must use the upper roadway.

Port of Portland police are investigating the suspicious item. The Metro Explosives Disposal Unit bomb squad is handling the disposal of the suspicious item."

Lets hope there is some real doom here.
