What books have you read relating to survival either fictional or non-fictional?

I've read One Second After, Patriots, I'm currently reading EMP Survival and also have Emergency Food Storage and Survival and When There is No Doctor.

What other books have you read, would you recommend?

Hi,

Check out "The Nuclear Survival Handbook" (Living Through And After A Nuclear Attack) by BARRY POPKESS.

Published in the UK and Australia by "Arrow Books"(ISBN 0 09 924510 8) try to get a copy of the First Edition published in 1980.

Lots of information was removed in later editions due to "security reasons" ?

Quote from rear cover:

"If the West comes under nuclear or chemical attack, many of us will survive. For those who do, the nightmare may only be beginning - for we are unprepared and survival during and after the holocaust will be largely a question of individual readiness and planning.

This handbook is a highly detailed and carefully complied guide to what happens in a nuclear attack, how to shelter, and how to live afterwards.

With topics ranging from shelter construction to foraging for food, itis at once a practical handbook, a chilling depiction of life after the war and a devastating indictment of our lack of preparation."

Amazon sell it here:

I have read the book several times and it is just as relevent today as it was in 1980, if not even more so.

The first edition is extremely graffic and later additions were somewhat "toned down" not to scare people half to death.

Good luck with the reading and Peace.

No worries Big Daddy D,

Also while I remember, I got the "SAS SURVIVAL HANDBOOK" for christmas last year and was VERY impressed with the quality of content.

Check it out here:

Full colour pics and excellent knowledge base.

Also a very small book ideal to throw in your bug out bag, etc.

Peace.
