Wow! Some mainstream truth about USA and Ron Paul: "Shaky empire on its last legs"
We I reckon you guys will like this article.
This is the first peice of mainstream media truth I've seen about Ron Paul and USA.

"The problem came about because we spent too much, we borrowed too much, we printed too much money, we inflated too much and we over-regulated. We are looking at the collapsing of a market which is unstable. It is unstable because of the way it came about. It came about because of the monopoly control of money and credit by the Federal Reserve system and that is a natural consequence of what happens when the Federal Reserve system creates too much credit.''

Internet conspiracy theorist? No, Ron Paul, candidate for Republican presidential nomination. Those words were from a speech to Congress in 2008 urging a "no" vote on TARP, the Mother of All Bailouts.

Can he win?

Is the mainstream finally catching on?

Will it make a difference anyway, even if he does win, because it won't really be him in control, and we only have the of the illusion of democracy?

Not to quibble and it depends on definitions I suppose, but I don't want a democracy. To me that means mob rule. I'd rather have a constitutional republic. That is, if forced to choose between the two.

Ron Paul just might be able to win. I do think the mainstream is beginning to take notice. I don't see the same amount of marginalization and ridicule as in 2008. Shouldn't be since everything he has been saying is coming true.

Will he make a difference? Even as president there will be enormous forces arrayed against him. But yes he can make a sea change of a difference. Even if he is a sort of John the Baptist.

Yes true, a constitutional republic is better than mob rule, but I fear that the constitution is eroding rapidly.

I like to see him win and hope that he can make a difference, but yes he's up against the enourmous forces alright way bigger than any presidential candidate.

media have to be careful they are not out of step with public sentiment. they will lose audience and ad revenues, if people go elsewhere...thats the big danger with ridiculing him for too long. plus they know he's got campaign coin to spend so they gotta be a bit nice to him...

Re: Wow! Some mainstream truth about USA and Ron Paul: "Shaky empire on its last legs"
I like this bit of the story the best!

"Bear in mind the Fed, unlike other reserve banks, is owned by private banks. Wall Street if you like. The Fed and the big banks fought for more than two years to keep details of the largest bailout in US history a secret. Now the rest of the world can see what it was missing."

It's not often you hear the mainstream admit that! Pity it's not front page....

america no longer exists, its nothing but a small corrupt group of traitors ruling this nation. I know that the future holds one of 2 things, a complete collapse and breakdown into anarchy or military coup.

If there was a military coup, which may be coming, which force do you think it will come from?

I agree, but I dont't think the group of traitors is really all that small. More than Bernake, the Fed, and 'ol Barry, at least.

Honestly, all our leadership is rotten to the core. The corruption filters all the way down to State Reps, county commisioners, mayors, and every other fiend that wants a piece of the pie. Not to mention every lobbist/ special interest group on this continent or otherwise.

Bastards.
