Anonymous Coward User ID: 1169966 United States 01/05/2012 08:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A friend of mine and I were discussing the collection of DNA from felons and she brought up collecting DNA from new born babies so as to help recover them if they go missing, already footprints are taken. Wow what a topic for GLP I thought. Quoting: -pathfinder- convicted felons are one thing and the morons will all agree to take the dna from their newborns saving them the trip later on. NOW how the hell does this help in finding your missing kid ? gawd forbid your child went missing BUT if there is a happy ending wouldn't they test everything THEN ? same for the ultimate ending from hell.... why don't these idiots simply chip their kids with a micrOGPS ? and the same... instead of their bless_ed dna---put that chip in yer kids. and i'm thinking they probably ARE DOING this anyway---they love those data bases--the bigger the better ! hell, they've been taking cord blood for a while already anyway and not storing it for your personal use the same EXCEPT they did ask for consent...but whO's to say what's going on or not going on right then and there ??? ehhhhh...seen the new way of getting finger printed----they spray something on the screen...supposed to make the conduction stronger.... ooooh yeah. |

They are told it's done to check for genetic disease. It is, and its stored on a card in the hospital where it was done. It is not stored on a DNA database by a private company like some dickheads would have you believe. |

When they draw blood on me to check my levels, they want 2 or 3 giant tubes full. So what could they be checking with one tiny pipette?? Nothing. They are used to collect the DNA for future crime solving. Been going on a LONG time. I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief... |
