Dr. Martin Luther King’s family and his personal friend and attorney, William F. Pepper, won a civil trial that found US government agencies guilty in the wrongful death of Martin Luther King. The 1999 trial, King Family versus Jowers and Other Unknown Co-Conspirators, is the only trial ever conducted on the assassination of Dr. King. See story and video ~ [link to www.examiner.com]

Same to you.
And yes, I agree, elements in the FBI, or NWO groups that inflitrated the FBI, did it. All the evidence points that way.
And yes, MLK had human flaws, etc., but, I don't think the civil rights struggle would have been nearly as successful without him.
He had a rare spiritual power about him. He seemed to be able to sense, when it was time to continue a march, and when to turn around and go back home.
He was very assimulated into the american mainstream, in that: he had a phd, he was a preacher, he was named after a german reformist, and, he followed the teachings of ghandi.
Without him, as the front face of the movement, and Thrgood Marshall, behind the scenes, writing all the civil rights laws, without all of that, I don't think the movement would have been so successful.
Of course, millons of people helped.
And, its sort of a backwards tribute to MLK, that you don't see anyone with that level of leadership skills today.

Amazing and motivating that one black man could have such a philosophical impact on the world. If a black man during a time when blacks were hated and considered inferior can make such a difference in the world. Today you have no excuse regardless of race or creed.

Stop with the bitching and excuses and do something.

No one has ever seen a perfect circle, nor a perfectly straight line, yet everyone knows what a circle and a straight line are.
Perceived circles or lines are not exactly circular or straight, and true circles and lines could never be detected since by definition they are sets of infinitely small points.

Re: Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!!!
Unfortunately, this is nothing more than a racist celebration here in Phoenix. You won't find many, if any, whites at the downtown celebration. When they try to celebrate with the "brothers", they are targeted and the violence starts. What is supposed to be a day of unity is used by the black community here, to divide. There was a lot of violence the last couple years, although not widely reported and it's almost always because the blacks don't want any whites celebrating "their day".

The sad part of it is, although they celebrate MLK, virtually none of them rise to the level he challenged them to. No, instead it is used as an excuse to keep the very thing alive that MLK was trying to abolish.

I've seen the same thing in Chicago on St. Patricks day. Was even with a crowd where some of the guys of Irish descent were beating people up downtown for partying on "their" day. They especially targeted blacks too, because they obviously weren't Irish.

It is sad. You're right. Phoenix being such a white town. I'm stuck in the NW area of Phoenix and only see a black person less than once a week. If that. That's why L.A. is so much cooler. I had friends from all walks and we all got along great. Too bad we can't learn to live with each other and respect, admire and learn from each others' cultures. Life is so boring here with only one culture. One type of architecture, one type of music, one type of food. I hope it changes.

Happy MLK day!

I dont what some of you ppl are bitching about. I live with a white person, I've dated many ppl outside of my race I have been promoted to Supervisor, I sit at the front of the bus when I chose, I piss at the same toilet whites do, I work with whites under me, point is the field is a lot more level then it was just 40 yrs. Ago.

Are there still race lines? Of course, but that will occur as long as we continue to follow the religion which is television and the politicians who are idealist but get crushed by a system in which no one controls. Its out of control

Fix that together and I bet all colors will bond so close interstellar space is possible

If the public had followed MLK's wishes, there would be NO Affirmative Action programs today, no college admission set-asides, and everyone would advance on MERIT.

If MLK's wishes had been followed, the MOST QUALIFIED people would have advanced to the Supreme Court, NOT a racist like Sonya Sotomayor, or an apparent lez, Elena Kagan, just for "diversity" sake.

It should be called Civil Rights Day.
 Quoting: Rattling Bones

We already have a "civil rights day" which is basically ignored by officialdom (the government and the media) which is December 15, Bill of Rights Day. It would be better to honor Dr. Martin Luther King on that day since he worked to extend ALL of the Bill of Rights to everyone.

Of course, many in officialdom, even those who claim his legacy, have been working to erode the Bill of Rights for everyone.

And I have talked with some who teach in public primary and secondary education and they admit they are not permitted to present the text of King's "I Have a Dream" speech lest it be offensive. So much for "diversity and tolerance".

Re: Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!!!
Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.[1] He is best known for being an iconic figure in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.[2] King has become a national icon in the history of modern American liberalism.[3]

A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career.[4] He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he expanded American values to include the vision of a color blind society, and established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history.

In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other nonviolent means. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and stopping the Vietnam War.

King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986.

black people with white names. amazing shit
 Quoting: axoHD

Not sure what your point is, but you see, in the U.S. we had this little thing called slavery which lasted for a good 100 years longer than it did in the U.K. and was far worse, far more wide-spread and far more institutionalized here, as well. One of the things that happened, is that blacks who were brought over were stripped of their African names and given Anglicized names, as were their children and children's children.

These days the U.K. has a very large number of African immigrants, so African names are much more common there. In the U.S. they are pretty rare. I live in New York City where we get tons of immigrants from everywhere, so I hear them more than most, but outside of NYC and maybe a few other places, African names are all but unheard of among blacks.
