Honest question to all females, why are you intimidated by body builders?

Most women are aware of the psychological effects of steroids and tend to steer clear. It just ain't worth it.

Not afraid...just not attracted to that body type. Athletic & toned, but not the big cut muscle look.

Because so many over do it to the point that they become grotesque rather than just hunky and sexy.

Also, we have heard that steroid use is rampant and we all know it means that the "little mister" below the belt doesn't quite work so well from it.

Then there is the stupid factor that enters in. Might be from steroids or just might be from all the hits in the head that many take because they do the fighting on the side.

In any case, past a certain point, most women do not find it attractive.

I don't think big muscles are attractive, besides isn't that what gay men are attracted to?

I'm not at all intimidated by body builders. I do wonder when they are trying so hard though. I think something is lacking on the inside so they are trying to make up for it on the outside. It's best to look inside of yourself to see what is missing.

I think it depends how you act. Many of the ones I've known happen to fit into the biggest asshole in the world category. Think Ahhhhnold for a good example. I don't know what it is, it seems to be in the nature of the person who tends to take up bodybuilding or something.

I've known a few who aern't like that and the girls seem to like them.

People (men) that are so obsessed with their looks usually don't have anything to offer from a personality perspective. I have dated enough of these shallow men to know that they don't have much to offer in the way of conversation that doesn't involve their bodies or their obsession with body building. They require way too much attention and reassurance from their partners. Insecure would be my best description of them.

Women know that the only people body builders want to impress is other body builders. It seems insecure to compete on that level. Plus, rumors about the tiny genitals.

I do have a hard time understanding what attracts women to scrawny wimps that couldn't even defend them from a cockroach though.

Good point OP. I WAS interested because I thought that to get to the point of being built like that took someone with determination... what I realized was, that their bodies were the ONLY thing that mattered to them. Very shallow and insecure personalities is what I discovered. Hmmm, interesting to think that I no longer would even consider dating one of them.

most women aren't superficially shallow and see worth past whoever can beat up the most things.

skinny guys usually have better personalities. that is more important to a lot of women than looks.
bulked up guys are more judgmental about fitness. if a woman has flaws, bodybuilders will be not as forgiving.
