Mega auto crash in Florida

Saw this on the news, they said the accident hapenned just after they lifted the fog advisory

Drove through it long after it happened yesterday....if I had left from my obs stay when I was considering to leave?...I would have been there when it was happening, thank god I didn't. I-75 was still closed when I did go through, traffic sites said it wasn't or I would have taken an alt route, but 14 hours later south bound was still closed, it was a mess.

10 people dead, several more still critical. Very sad...it sounds like there was no warning and the smoke from a smoldering fire just rolled in and killed visibility from ok to zero very quickly.

if there was smoke and fog, you can't see anything. And because all the roads here are pretty much straight, you're screwed with no visibily...

Made me think about the movie Final Destination when I saw it, reminded me of being angry about a week ago and imagining the vehicles that drive by the place where I flip a pizza sign crashing. Some entertainment you know, something difference in another day of monotony that has gotten to me.

This is 30 minutes south of me. Luckily, no one I knew was involved. Unluckily, 10 people died.

The fire was in the prairie, not from the wreckage themselves. The smoke was trapped at the surface of the road and crossed over I-75 in the middle of the night. Cars had already crashed and more cars just kept crashing into each other. More cars caught on fire. The standard speed people drive on the Interstate is around 75-80 around here, and you can imagine people who were not paying attention could have slammed head on into these crashed vehicles at very high speeds.

That lookd like the highway of death in Kuwait.

So sad...
