Inspired by the weird things in the woods thread: What other weird or IMPOSSIBLE things have you witnessed?

Friend of mine stole my car, with two passengers (did not give him/them permission).
There was a "boom box" in the back with a commercial tape in the deck.
He wrecked the car into a house.
The next day I retrieved my belongings from the junk yard, boom box, etc.
The boom box recorded their voices as they were getting into the car, and you could even hear the door close shut.
My best friend and I were listening to the tape one day and we discovered it in the middle of a song.
We were tripping out. We both identified the voices on it.
This was my grandfather's favorite car when he was alive, it was handed down to me.
You can not record over a commercial tape unless you put scotch tape over the tabs. I had no intention of taping over LL Cool J.
My grandfather had the last word.

I was driving across from Duluth to Marquette on M-28 in the UP of Michigan in the rain and fog. Whenever oncoming traffic would appear, which was very seldom, my car would seem to be drawn across the center line towards each. It was very strange.

I began to use an old pilot's trick...handling the steering wheel with my fingertips, to insure my stress wasn't causing odd muscle reactions. The car was relatively fine until on-coming traffic.

Finally, a stack of 5-6 cars showed up in the distance...when we were about 3 car lengths apart, my car took a drastic 30-degree turn straight at the first slowpoke...and I crossed the centerline by at least a third of my width.


I flinched...and actually blinked enough to say I closed my eyes...and said, "Lord, this is it, I'm yours."


And nothing happened. I was ready for a 70-100 mph immediate impact...and nothing happened. I didn't even see brake lights in my rear-view mirror.

Freaked me out enough to pull off on the next road, which was an impossibly narrow old logging trail. Checked the car, and it was fine, except for two horribly worn rear tires. My last alignment was a month previous, and my tuner had to farm it out because his rack was damaged. So his friend did my work, and obviously set the rear verticle angle incorrectly, scrubbing off 15k worth of tire tread.

I had been running on slicks, with the inside edge actually worn through the cords!


I am still grappling with that night...it might've been five years ago now or more.

These are great! I am going to attempt to relay a friend's story now. Some of the details will be lost but the main points are all very much intact in my mind.

Let me start by saying that this friend is very trustworthy.

So --

Some years ago, he went to Disneyland with his family. It was my friend, his mom, sister, and cousin. When they got there, they decided to rent a locker to put away some of their bags, cameras, etc. So they shoved it all into one locker and went off into the park, rode the rides, etc.

At some point, about halfway through their day, the cousin went back to the locker to retrieve a camera. Upon reaching their assigned locker and opening it up, he discovered that half of their stuff was missing. He freaked out and immediately went back out into the park and found the others and told them about the missing belongings. They assumed theft.

The whole family then went to the park security/police to file a report and ended up spending the second half of their day filling out paperwork, describing the missing items, etc.

Just as they were wrapping up the legal stuff, the cousin discovered a SECOND ticket for a SECOND locker inside his shirt pocket, which NONE of them remembered renting, including the cousin.

They went over to this other locker, which none of them had ever seen, opened it up, and the other half of their stuff was inside.

The thing that really blows my mind here is the fact that they ALL remembered shoving their stuff into the ONE locker, and they were ALL together for the entire morning up until the cousin discovered that half the stuff was missing -- i.e., everyone was accounted for.

Then there is the fact of the other ticket mysteriously materializing in the cousin's shirt pocket.

You could say that the whole thing was a prank that the cousin pulled, but my friend swears that A) the cousin is very trustworthy, and B) it would not have been worth the payoff -- they wasted half a day in an office filing a report, answering the cops' questions, etc. Not exactly a worthwhile prank.

So the question remains -- HOW did half of their belongings get into the other locker? How did the ticket for the second locker get into the cousin's shirt pocket?

Apparently they were all pretty freaked out by it and spent the next day or so talking it over, trying to figure out how it may have happened, but no one could come up with a plausible solution.

The ONLY POSSIBLE explanation is that the cousin moved the stuff and took out the second locker himself when he went back to get the camera... but why in the world would a grown man put his whole family through that? They even had a severely autistic adult with them (friend's sister) so it would have been a tiring and high-maintenance situation for everyone.

Anyway, my friend swears up and down that his cousin didn't do it, and that the cousin was visibly freaked out by the whole thing, as they all were.

I know a skeptic would probably be quick to blame it on the cousin but I trust my friend and his assessment of his cousin's character... and if the cousin didn't do it, HOW did it happen?!

When my mom was kid he helped his father go to several houses with the bible at night to pray or to give comfort for departed ones etc,No cars around, country side, very humble. My grandpa one night went to the kitchen at the back of the little house and call my mother to bring him his bible..when she came with the bible and a lamp, she saw my grandpa pinned to the wall and two big red eyes in the corner of the room, she got really scared and couldnt move. my grandpa yelled at her to open the bible and screamed was she was reading!! She started crying and reading and looking to those big eyes. as she kept reading the eyes started to get bigger and bigger and she felt a big gush of wind that tumble her back, my grandpa hug her and both hear at the distance the screech of an animal and the noise of a like big kind of bird flapping wings and leaving in the distance.she never forgot this and always told me that prayer was powerful. More things happen to them during their lives. She still remember this one like yesterday and she is 89 yrs old.

look I read in old Arabic book about what you doing if you have some tree and this tree didn't fruitage or give you any fruit and we have one tree since 5 year didn't give us any fruit and I did like what the book said and after 4 month our tree give as a lot of fruit after 5 year with out any result me and my family was astonished coz we didn't believe in what the book say but we try any way
and the way is:
a knife and other person
go to the tree and tray to wound it with the knife 3 time then say loudly this tree didn't give us any fruit I will cut it immediately then the other person try to grasp your hand and say let this tree some time and if it didn't give you any fruit after that then cut it off and you say I will do that >> and go away and let the tree make some good work our tree take 4 month to did that
after while the tree well give you not just a lot of fruit but even v good fruit ... try it ,it's awesome >> how the tree can understand you and scary of died ..:)

This happened to me about 20 years ago , I was about 15 at the time.
It was late at night, very early morning , we were baby sitting my sisters
Dog and some how the dog had gotten out the front of the house from
the backyard and was causing a ruckus barking its head of . The dog
Was a kelpie x and not aggressive at all but was really going of.

As I was still awake and heard her I got up to shut her up and put her out the back again . I went out the front door and started calling her ,as I walked over to grab her to bring her in , all her hackles were up and she ignored me and kept barking , as I approached her I looked up to see what she was barking at and got quiet a surprise .

Floating down the middle of the road was an orange ball of light around the size of a base ball or a little larger , it was about head height and moving at about walking pace down the road , I grabbed the dog and put her inside and came back out and hid ( I was 15 and scared ) inside our front porch and continued to watch it.

The light continued down the road at the same height and speed for about 50 metres , it then did a complete u turn at the next intersection under a street light and stared heading back my way , I kept watching it until it came back in front of our house , a bus was parked on the opposite side of the road were I lost view of it behind the bus .

After some time of not seeing it I finally got the balls to go have a look were it went and it had gone , never to be seen again , I realise this isn't the most scary story out there but the difference is this actually happened, I to this day have no clue as to what it was and any ideas would be great.

Saw my MIL across the street when I knew she was on the other side of the state. Drove down the street and she was standing facing our house so I pulled in the driveway and said to my son that your Grandmother is here. Jumped out turned around and she was gone but a deep sadness overtook me and I knew something was very wrong. She was on our answering machine when we opened the door and I could hear her sobbing. Her Husband had died. That was the first time that happened to me.

I am a ships master in the merchant marines. A few years back I saw a glimmering chrome object moving on the horizon. It was moving fast. I tried to pick it up on radar but it would not track it. I could see it, but modern radars have the ability to acquire targets and give you information about them. This thing moved so fast that the ARPA could not acquire it.

This object was moving extremely fast. By my professional estimates if say at least 1800 MPH. It was approximately 40 to 50 feet off the water and it cleared my visible horizon in roughly 15 seconds. The height of my wheelhouse is 85 feet. That gives me a visible horizon of about 30 miles all around in clear conditions.

There was no sonic boom. A fighter jet at that low altitude would have created a rooster tale on the water. And it flashed or tumbled as it moved.

Anyway, that's what I saw.

Back in the 70's I was in my 20's I was sitting on the floor and rubbed the heel of my foot and felt a little bump. I saw a black dot and tried to scratch it off but it wouldn't come off. I got a tweezers and pulled out a straight solid black metal bar about a eighth inch wide and three inches long. No idea how it got there or when. It didn't hurt or bleed. Was just really weird.

That is My story and, you need to be more than that. Those are my ancestors, sensitive people in the spiritual world, I don't recommend you to do this..this thing can go to you, so stop.

I'll give you the short version:

I was driving in the middle of the afternoon on a relatively flat, heavily wooded section of country road.

The road curved to the right, but because of the trees, you couldn't see that far ahead. I was traveling all of 60 MPH - It was a paved road.

As my road curved to the right, a second road joined from the left (but didn't continue on the right). It was Y shaped, with me traveling from the base of the Y.

Sunny day, no clouds, no wind, nothing that would cause what I saw next. No drugs or alcohol were consumed.

Coming at me was a redish orangish ball floating in the air at about 7 feet off the ground - it was moving pretty fast. It was below the tree height by 10 or 15 feet. It came at me from around the curve to the right, made the nearly 300 degree turn and traveled away from me on the other branch of the Y. It never slowed down or changed height - just made a smooth turn right above the roadway and continued out of sight on my left. I was probably only 30 to 40 yards away at the closest point. I never heard a sound.

I've thought a lot about what I saw and have come up with the following conclusion:

I witnessed a UFO during driver's training...

Weirdest thing I ever saw was a black-man with a job.

I witnessed to my dismay an NFL t(hat cares enough about the almighty dollar that they would risk their image by aligning themsleves with a fraudulent cancer industry thereby adorning their players with pink accutrement ) remove a tough, capable leader with a proven winning record from that same leadership position on any club in the NFL because his noble and righteous lifestyle would impact the other riffraff in the league
while that same NFL laboriuosly reintroduced onto the field a very dishonourable, loathsome individual by the name of Michael Vick, a "gentleman", who, while having every asset at his disposal and owning a unique position of "someone" black youth could look up to, chose to refrain from all constructive activities to engage in the horrible, cruel inhumane act of forcing a dog to rip anpther dog's throat out so that his dispicable coterie
might obtain some slight pleasure and reprieve from attending to the needs of any whore who might be stupid enough to entertain same despite the overwhelmingly obvious paucity of merit which might be obtained thru such devotion to that which is devoid of any semblance of the aforementioned honour attributed to our hero one TIMOTHY TEBOW, ALL AMERICAN LAD.

My brother and I use to play with a little girl in the woods when we were young. Later on when I was older things about that bothered me. Like her house in the woods. I know she always said her mom was gone someplace and would be back later, but why were there always fresh baked cookies, a working bathroom. Lights. Cold milk from the fridge and even a TV. There was no power lines there, and the girl always was alone??? Never have figured it out.

Then there was a night when my brother and I woke up in the snow in front of the fire station in town. never have figured that one out. We were in our PJ's and it was 2 miles from home. The police came by and stopped and asked us how we got there, we had no idea. they called my dad and he had no idea, they said later on it had been a prank from someone that didn't like our parents and they took us from our beds and left us in town. How did they do that with no car tracks in the snow???

See the slowdowns on that, "Roger Rabbit" movie (full-on cartoon clit) and, in particular, the scene from "Fantasia", where the flames dance in the wizard's hand. They are actually naked "flame" women doing a black moon ritual, nipples included, when slowed way down. Then see "The Lion King", where the word sex is written all over the scenery, literally. Plus, I happen to own a copy of, "The Little Mermaid", DVD, where the castle is actually a giant, golden penis, which was later recalled due to public discovery. (It actually goes for good money these days on ebay. Tough shit...I am holding on to it to show folks what Disney is really about...programming early sexuality.)

I think I wrote about this on another thread a long time ago but, if I didn't, here it is...

My family at one point lived in a VERY small, VERY secluded, New England town, replete with ancient, one-lane, covered bridges and narrow, one-lane roads. Some of them have remained unpaved since the early 1650's. (They were probably the original tracker paths that became widely used.)

Anyway, this was not where I had originally grown up. My family had moved there while I was in college.

There was something going on in my family at that time, so I was commuting from NYC to there at off-hours, to avoid hours of traffic, on alternating weekends, to help out where I could. (Kind of like respite care.)

So, I had done this same commute for some 12 months on these extremely winding, treacherous, mountainous roads that, on one side, had sheer cliffs of granite rock that nearly touched the pavement and, on the other, immediately plunged down about 40-50 feet to the banks of a wide river popular with fly fishermen and kayakers.

On this particular evening, it was August and it was a sticky night, even in the mountains. I loathe air conditioning. I don't know why. I really wish I did like it. But it makes my nose bleed and I can never get a temperature that makes me feel comfortable. I would just rather sweat and feel the weather without bleeding out my nostrils.

So, my window was down and the A.C. was off the whole way I was driving. I was playing bad 80's punk music as I moved along.

I came off the main road and had moved onto not just a secondary, but onto a minute, 1-1/4 lane road to get onto the covered bridge, which led to the center of town, which did have a two-lane road. I banked around a block of curved rock wall and immediately saw something. I thought, at first, it was a deer. It was big and black. It looked like it would make a giant dent in my car. I slammed on the brakes.

It came into view not more than ten feet from me, under high beam lights aimed directly at it.

It had no color.

It was a 3-D shadow, entirely ink black, impenetrable, and it emanated only what I can describe as NOTHINGNESS. A complete lack of light or love or pity or compassion or anything good. It was just evil that made your hair raise up on the back of your neck and your insides shudder in horror and disgust.

Its form was only partly human...from the neck down.

Once I was upon it, I could see its head looked like something Egyptian...a long snout, pointed ears.

I don't know why...I was paralyzed. I just stopped and looked right at it. I should have run it down out or cast it out in Christ's name, considering the waves it was sending out, but I was just momentarily stunned into doing absolutely nothing...which continues to shame me to this day. (It really does.)

This shadow being never looked at me. I wasn't even worth its consideration, which both angered and shamed me even more, for reasons I still can't understand. At least I hope I don't.

It was there for about 5 minutes after I stopped. it seemed to be waiting for something, something which did not come.

Then it just become 2-dimensional, like a piece of the blackest paper. It folded itself, again and again, until it simply became a point of darkness and then disappeared, leaving the normal warm, night, summer forest where it once stood. (Did I mention that it sucked the warmth out of the air while it was there?)

I didn't realize it before it left, but the crickets suddenly started to sing again. They had been silent while that...thing...was there.

I had zero answers.

Years later, perhaps a decade and an half later, I came across an ancient symbol for the most damned fallen Watcher, Azazel. I would not identify it as a goat's head, but what I saw in the book years later is what I saw in the book, and they called it a goat's head. (I own goats, and goats don't have snouts like that.)

However, if you look up Azazel, he is the fallen to which Hebrews annually give goat sacrifices, replete with some sort of ribbon identification. (I don't yet fully understand it, but intend to go to a Rabbi to get some answers one day.)

I did do my own research. The Book of Enoch and Jubilees makes it pretty clear that Azazel is in deep shit with God. God, in fact, puts all the blame of both war and monetary greed on Azazel's head, because he taught these things to humanity.

From what I saw, he deserves what he got, because he emanated zero remorse. ZERO.

I have had a few other experiences, but this was the start of my journey.

I used to wonder why I saw this. It made no sense.

I worried that I was damned. Maybe I am. I hope not. But I also feel privileged that this "lead" let me understand a nearly-forgotten portion of human history.

I never would have quested for additional info were it not for this encounter.

A group of friends and myself were walking along the railroad tracks at night smoking lots of dope, we may or may not have ate a bunch of blue gel tab hits of 'cid and were just having a nice party all up and down the river and train tracks when we all saw something amazing...as we were approaching a railroad trestle, one guy in our group screamed "WATCH THIS SHIT!" and he took off full speed, leaping over the edge of the bridge. I, along with everyone else, ran to the side of the trestle to get a better view of our friend surely jumping to his death... when out of nowhere he grabs onto a tree trunk and scaled down to the bottom of the tree with ease, pretty much looking like Spider-Man climbing down the tree. The total distance of the bridge to the tree was a good ten to fifteen stories if not more. It was pretty spectacular.

The guy had a REALLY GOOD chance of dying that night doing his little stunt in the middle of nowhere out in the darkness, but he beat the odds and gave us all a very special memory that I'll never forget, and he later went on to kill enemy forces in Afghanistan with the Marines. As far as I know he's still alive, he's done a few tours of duty, but he's started a family and stuff so his partying days are pretty well behind him..

1968 in the ditch during a firefight and saw a Tiger jump the 20ft wide ditch we were in with a screaming man in his jaws.
