Especially random acts of violence, when someone is killed for basically no reason. That makes me very angry even. The study, presented at the annual meeting of the Association for Psychological Science, analysed a number of surveys involving almost 14,000 college students over the last 30 years. "We found the biggest drop in empathy after the year 2000," said Sara Konrath, a researcher at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research. "College kids today are about 40 per cent lower in empathy than their counterparts of 20 or 30 years ago, as measured by standard tests of this personality trait." |

What is your definition of "evolve"? IMO that term is conjured or fabricated as a means of control, like the term "fairness". There are no real absolutes in things like "fairness" the world is not a fair place at all. Justice is perverted, fairness is used only in the context to get people who desire equity and fairness to become complacent at the hope fairness will be worked out collectively. However, if you realize that we are all fallen in our natural state of being, you can begin a healing process in terms of hope, real hope, for salvation to be realized. We all need salvation as this world is fallen we are fallen and it just gets worse and worse. Its not getting any better for those who do not admit we are a fallen species, flawed in need of redemption. |

If you cannot see a reaction when communicating, then you cannot have empathy because the reaction is not expected. This is why kids breakup texting instead of face to face. They dont want to see the reaction. |

For sure, I've seen some really disgusting video games come out lately.... I won't even mention them because the names themselves will screw up some people. No to mention, video games are becoming much more violent... I can't help but think there is something more to it than just video games and violent media... 2 and 2 ain't equalling 4 here. |
