VENUS
Can anyone explain why it was 'flashing' last night (UK). Noticed it at around 6pm (GMT). It was twinkling rather violently, and was varying in brightness.

Jupiter was a 'static glow', i.e. not flashing.

Did anyone else notice it, and what is the reasoning?

Re: VENUS
When looking thru a telescope on nights when the stars and planets seem to be twinkling, it is a disturbance in the view from the conditons above. Not very good for 'seeing''

I wasn't using a scope, and everything around, or in close proximity (I say that loosely) to Venus, wasn't displaying the same characteristics.
