That includes the “room clearing, sentry control [and] combat casualty recovery.” And all at the bidding of their human partner. [link to www.wired.com] |

Then it will post. Last Edited by SpaceCommand on 02/17/2012 01:18 PM "With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests: "Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world." And they do so with an almost uncanny instinct. They'll be werewolves one second, running on all four, and tanks the next. Only to switch to MW or BF and be regular humans. It would seem natural that the DARPA people, who aren't obtuse enough to think inside the box of "terminator" would be creating a robot that has more resemblance to a transformer than a human. I'll be willing to bet that we won't be seeing the Darpa bipedal... the real avatar will look nothing like a human. |

Ones that fly and motor around on the ground, "mirco" insect-like bots, amphibious bots, and fully submergible bots. This is simply the first step. |

It was the real deal. Gov will never tell the public how far advanced THEY REALLY ARE. They just show us the old stuff TERMINATOR IS REAL people ! I warned this ten years ago. |

I mean, it wouldn't really feel real. A person would be detached from actual combat. Also, anyone could probably learn to control the robot. They might even train chimps to do it or have a shadow government where they have children raised to do it. Anyway, don't expect any sort of forgiveness or sympathy or any sort of human emotions from these things. The people they will have controlling them will become as mindless and heartless as the robots they control perhaps. |
