I always used to open my bananas from the bottom until I gave them up completely when I discovered than they are one of many foods that are naturally radioactive, and bananas are particularly so, due to the radioactive potassium-40 they contain. I don't agree with the monkeys. I always open mine from the handle nature provided and have never had a problem. If the banana is ripe, it will open easily. Green bananas are not ripe. Monkeys will tell you that.

Sometimes they just rip them open with there teeth as well!!!
But the more civil monkeys do..

Not trying to start a debate, but I feel I need to ask this question. If we evolved from apes, wouldn't we instinctively know to open the banana the same way that they do?
