I'm confused, please don't take offense.

You say there is nobody who can claim to know anything but that fact that this person is coming, or is expected, but at the same time, you seem to have a very concrete interpretation of God's own mind and methods.

I did not say anything of the sort. The Bible is clear that the one thing we cannot know about the Second Coming is the precise timing of it. Apart from this, the manner and the specific details of His return are very clearly expressed and defined in the Bible. They have been put there so that we know what to expect and so that we are not deceived when Satan tries to counterfeit the real thing.

This is why Paul writes concerning the Second Coming in 1 Thessalonians 5:4, "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." The reason why the few faithful believers will not be overwhelmed by Jesus' return is because they have given their hearts to God and diligently studied the Bible thus being able to know and understand precisely what will take place.

"Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7. God put all this information in the Bible for our help and benefit, and when we compare Scripture with Scripture we can see a detailed delineation of what will take place.

And I personally don't want to claim anything. I just want as many as possible to accept eternal life through Jesus and be able to enjoy the wonders of this entire universe in the world to come.

I know you just ant what you think is best for yourself to be the best thing for others, I don't think that is wrong so much as denying the possibility that the thing we want might be wrong altogether.

I have far too many questions to ask for you to spend time answering, but let me ask you these things:

I have been studying theology for a bit, and I am confused that there are so many that all claim to point the only way, when " all roads lead to Rome ".

If conception happens on the aforementioned 3/22/2012(322 as many of you know is the magic number of Skull and Bones for some reason), then taking off my shoes and counting on my fingers and toes allows me to calculate that just about 9 months later is when else but 12-21-2012.

I do not say it will happen ON 21 or March. But the event to happen next, is the Rapture.

And because we are in the space era, and a brief reread of Elijah's taking from today's view gives us a clear landing and take off of a quite bigger spaceship than ours, it is clear if there is a rapture, it will be a space ship based taking. This will be the first event to hit the rest as we know them.

Yes, I believe that the Bible is a factual book. I believe that the history and delineations of events described within it are real and literal events, i.e. the global flood at the time of Noah and a literal seven-day creation. However, I believe one must be careful and remember that parts of the Bible, particularly depictions of certain prophecies, are described by symbolic language. This is most vividly displayed in the book of Daniel and Revelation. In such cases, I believe one must compare Scripture with Scripture in order to understand what each symbol means.

For example, in Revelation 17:1 John beholds a corrupt woman who sits upon many waters. This would not make much sense prophetically unless one understands the symbolism behind it. The Bible always interprets itself without the need of a human 'scholar' or 'learned one' to tell you what it says. Thus, in Jeremiah 6:2 we read, "I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman." A woman in Bible prophecy represents a church, a group of people holding common beliefs. This is why ancient Israel was called a 'whore' when they disobeyed God and fell into idolatry. Later on in Revelation 17:15 we find the meaning of the second symbol, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." Revelation 17:15. Thus we are led to understand that John is seeing a corrupt church which rules or has great authority and influence over many nations and peoples on planet earth, as a queen sitting in her throne ruling over the people.

"All roads lead to Rome" is correct, for this is precisely whom this prophecy refers to. We have gone a long way from the time of the Protestant Reformation when the reformers and churches knew the RCC to be the Antichrist of prophecy. In the late 1990s the Lutheran church went as far as to officially apologize to the Pope for the Reformation. Indeed, Revelation 17:1 is becoming fulfilled more and more vividly.

In light of this, you are correct that many profess to have the truth. I believe this has been done on purpose by none other than the enemy of souls himself, namely Lucifer/Satan. Think about it. If God and Satan both exist; and if God is trying to save people from ruin, while Satan is trying to deceive the world and lead them to death; and if what we read in the Bible about eternal life through Jesus is true; then wouldn't it make perfect sense for Satan to make it as hard as possible for people to find the truth and thus life by causing all sorts of confusion in creating hundreds of denominations and groups of believers, all with various beliefs? If there is a small group of people who have the most truth out of the bunch, wouldn't it be Satan's purpose to prevent as many as he can from finding these people? I believe this is precisely what has happened in recent times.

But I also believe that the Word of God also helps to instruct us on how to spot the genuine from the fake. "To the law and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20. The people who have the truth and who are called by God to give a final message of warning to the peoples of the earth before Jesus returns will be in harmony with what is written in the Bible. This is one of the most important things to remember for a believer; if a doctrine/idea/belief contradicts the Scriptures, it is not of God.

Look for a people who explain the Bible, and particularly prophecy, using the Bible alone. They are around, but they are few.

God needs to get himself some better followers, because his current ones suck.

It appears this was mentioned because we have almost completely run out of time and that events of great significance and importance are right before us.

What I find very curious though is that these past two days on GLP there has been an super-increased amount of talk of possible 'doom' happening this coming week. And while that, in and of itself is not prophetic, it is interesting that it is happening.

Your guess is as good as mine though. If I had to speculate I would lean more towards Economic Collapse, Iran war escalating into a WW3/Nuclear-exchange type scenario, or a single or series of Mega-quake disasters. Also, maybe it's just me but I sense that the USA will be greatly affected...

Too long, let's just most has come to pass. The one that most the more secular folks would latch onto was the fact that churches would ordain open homosexuals as pastors/priests.
