Awesome and beautiful (if you can use this word) Diesel bikes:The BMW K100 VW 1.4 and tiger smart plus hatzfield

When enfield came with diesel enfield mating a greaves diesel 470 cc engine with 6 Hp to enfield gearbox,people expected many good things.But the bike was so underpowered,you could have caught it up by simple walking.The incredible fact is is gave fuel economy of 200 MPH OR 80 KMPL.The demand gone down and enfield phased out the product.

But diesel bike enthusiasts from europe caught up where enfield left.Numerous varieties of diesel bikes have been constructed.

I know diesel bikes can never compete with petrol on power front plus they produce too many vibrations.But they all ultimate cruisers.Just drive them at constant 40-50 MPH and you will get tremendous fuel economy.

The bikes i mentioned in thread are ultimate mean machines.A BMW mated with VW lupo diesel engine so power is no problem,the second bike as name suggests uses smart diesel engine in triumph frame.The makes neil travelled from UK to Nepal on that bike.It looks ugly but performs really well
