Not on other seismographs = equipment error or localized interference.

no way. each line of harmonic tremors are displaying
exactly as they should be.

oops. i mean Jellystone, of course.

There is no "wave pattern", that's been imposed on the data by the format. What you're seeing is pulses, Pulses are to be expected during earthquake activity. Earthquakes are electrically driven.

Look at the Yellowstone seismograph and Madison just had a good bump!

we are not saying that that wave pattern is imposed on
the picture by anything.
i am saying that that wave pattern is intrinsic to the
over-all nature of the harmonic tremors that flowed during
the 8 hr. period depicted on the chart.

So that chile eq shows off on all those ?? I cant see any effect on the one with 'pulse' thoe, why is that?

all of the earthquakes and tremors on the Yellowstone
seismic charts are very very low energy (magniture) events.
even the Chili quake is only measuring .01 magnitude (or less)
in Yellowstone (the energy was 7.1 in Chili)
any distant chart that doesn't measure a quake like Chili
just means that there was stuff in ground that
attenuated the puny energy that would have otherwise
reached the seismic sensor.

yes. any earthquake around the world, the USGS has
to analyze data from 10 or more reporting stations
around the world in order to estimate what the
magnitude and epicenter is.

in Science, any kind of measurement or conclusion
is referred to as a "First Approximation", "Second Approximation", and so on.

I'm NOT saying that these are related to the Chili quake. However, sometimes when there is a large quake; the Earth will 'ring like a bell'. And these waves can be picked up all over the World.
We've seen this with the large quakes in the recent past.

Diffraction occurs with all waves, including sound waves, water waves, and electromagnetic waves such as visible light, x-rays and radio waves.
