" The first thing that people will notice just prior to the tribulation, is the rapture of the church. I have covered the rapture in one of my other posts, so I won't get into that here. However there are approximately two billion Christian in the world today and believe me, someone will notice when they are gone! " Paul clearly teaches that the rapture can not occur until the antichrist is revealed after the abomination of desolation. The latter must happen in the middle of the 7 year tribulation. 2 Thess 2: "1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God." Daniel teaches us that the abomination occurs mid-trib. I'm not sure why folks still cling to the pre-trib. fantasy. Just don't fall away from the Lord when we have to suffer persecution like every other christian generation. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |
