Faith to be sure and logic.

Before Jesus death, the disciples were somewhat timid, fearful even to the point of Peter denying that he even knew Jesus. Now if this group had NOT witnessed Jesus die on the cross and also Jesus the risen Christ and received His Holy Spirit, why, WHY would they subsequently pursue activities and preach openly in the face of certain persecution and the worst kinds death at the hands of the Romans…WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT, IF THEY KNEW THE RESURRECTION WAS A LIE???? They did it because it WAS TRUE, because they saw Him dead on a cross with a spear shoved in His side; then three days later, they knew HE IS RISEN because THEY SAW HIM…ALIVE; they talked to Him, saw the wounds!!! He accepted a brutal mortal death to atone for the sins you and I commit. All he asks in return is for you to accept His life as a gift, because HE LIVES and He loves you! Don’t take my word for it! Ask Him, He’ll let you know in ways only He can.

And OP, never apologize for Jesus being your savior!

Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.

Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"

So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!"

And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them,

Hello!

I didn't mean it to sound like I was apologizing for Him being my Savior, I say I'm sorry that it's another thread that might get them all riled up.

I can't help say what I have to say because He is in my heart which makes Him so much a part of me. His Holy Spirit longs to speak of Him, I am the tool made willing by my choosing. I could have chosen to so many other things to do today, buy God's Spirit within me rejoices in the fact that the name of Jesus is being proclaimed.

I don't hate the scoffers, I understand. I was there before. I doubted if there was a God. I lived a sinful life.

I didn't know love, didn't feel love, got tired of life. But Jesus saved me and continues to teach me and help me understand what we are all about. I choose to see things through His eyes, not mine. I'm not perfect, I'm not sinless, I make many mistakes and am really no different from the rest of you.

I don't like to see people hurt and I guess that includes feel offended. But, I guess that is something I need to get use to.

Anyways, I'm rambling on.

Religious weak minded people who need to believe in something to cope with their problems. Might as well believe in flying cows too. What's the difference? I read it in a book so it must be true.
